Question about Saniflo 089 Sanicubic 1 089

1 Answer

The Saniflo Cubic1 has now been opened up. The wheel with the blades was unattached and laying in the bottom. Some hand turning of the disk the blade assembly would normally be attached it would turn, it then would turn ever so slowly when powered. Not nearly fast enough to spin the blades and power the pump. Nothing was present in the tank to cause problems and a peek through the inspection port shows no signs of water infiltration into the sealed motor. I have owned this unit for less than 6 months and it gets light but steady use mostly from a shower.

Wont cut fabric thread bunches up and it kinda gets stuck

Either one or both of your blades need sharpened or replaced. As a rule you can replace the bottom one yourself if you are at all mechanical or are careful. You can buy a blade for your machine at a local sewing machine dealer that handles your brand of machine or go on ebay and type your make and model into the search box in sewing machine category.

Blades get dull or sometimes you might run into a pin or you may have tried to cut too heavy of material.

You can test the machine first by laying a couple strands of thread between the blades and rotate the hand wheel in the the proper direction (look at the arrow on your hand wheel). If the blades don't cut the threads cleanly, you can be certain this is your problem.

Lawnmower blade wont turn

Probably bent the shaft. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starting and lay the lawn mower on its side. Slowly turn the blade with your hand and watch the center of the shaft. If it wobbles at all it is bent. $150 to $200 job. Probably time for a new mower.

Ryobi 902 bandsaw makes high pitch noise. have adjusted all guides and thrust bearing

The noise might not be coming from the blade, but perhaps from the bearings on the top or bottom wheel. Unplug it and open the covers. With the blade still on, turn the wheels by hand to see if you still get the noise. Then remove the blade and turn the wheels independently by hand. Then plug it back in and run the motor (with the blade still off!). Of course with the blade still off, the load on the wheel bearings will be very light, so maybe you can provide a bit of load by pressing a wheel or or caster against them as you turn them. Be careful. Good luck!

Makes a terrible clanking when I turn it on.

Deb, unplug the saw and open the covers that allow full access to the top and bottom big wheels. Slowly turn the bottom big wheel by hand to see if you can determine what it banging. Perhaps the blade is very loose. This is tightened by turning a handwheel probably located on the very top of the saw. Knowing how tight to make this is pretty much by trial and error, but if you can easily deflect the blade (half-way between the wheels) by 1/4 inch, then it's too loose. If a loose blade is not the problem, remove the blade (wear gloves) and see if both the upper and lower wheels move OK without banging. From there, it depends on what you find!
Good luck,

Saniflo has power but the blades don't turn?

That could be a problem with either a blockage in the blade or the impeller or a bad starting capacitor. I sugges to open up the unit and inspect the blade and impeller if there is no blockage then might be the starting capacitor that will need to be replaced.

I just bought a new house and the saniflo toilet is fairly loud. is there something that I can put in it to clean it out.

If the unit is making a loud noise then there could be an obstruction in the blade or impeller, you will have to pry open the lid using a flat head screwdriver and then remove the motor out of the casing, the blade is on top of the motor and the impeller is at the bottom of the motor.

Saniflo recommends using any cleaning products that does not contains bleach or chlorine such as liquid lysol, Mr. clean or simple green. Also Saniflo sells a descaler that is designed to clean the inside of pump casing.

Blade is tipping on the wheel and ruining the blades just wondering how to adjust the wheel. or is it the top wheel or the bottom ,one must be out of line

It sounds like the upper wheel is tilted out and what happens is the blade will drift outward. What you need to do is power off the unit, open up the upper and lower wheel doors, find the adjustment knob on the back of the upper wheel, and adjust this while spinning the wheel by hand.

The blade needs to be on the machine when you do this and do not try to make this adjustment with the power on. Make small adjustments till the blade tracks in the center of the upper and lower wheel.

NOTE: Prior to re-elignment, make sure the tension on the blade is set to the correct tension. This will differ depending on the blade thickness. You want the blade to be tight, but don't over tighten the blade because this could cause wear or even cause the blade to snap when using the bandsaw.

I hope this helps.

Saniflo permanently on,

If the blade and impeller spin freely by hand after removing the obstruction but does not pump out the waste after assembling the unit back together, then could be a bad capacitor, since the capacitor spins the blade and impeller. If the capacitor goes bad then it will just make a humming noise and not pump the waste out.

Set up bandsaw to cut straight

back off all guides and wheels from blade. Tighten idel wheel to tension blade. Turn by hand a few time to check that blade is tension correctly. Adjust top and bottom guides to just touch-off the side and back of blade.
