If, like on mine, the child safety lock on one side did not fully release due to a bit of a sloppy end on the activator. Had to reduce the slack a bit so the lock mechanism would fully clear.
Try this: Set the child lock to on...and then a 'fast flip to off' and see if it goes off on several tries.... mine did for a while...but reverted back to needing attention.

How to disengage the saftey on 06' dodge caravan sxt power sliding door?

disengage the saftey Anon, I believe it is done on the overhead console or if you mean the child prevention lock, it is a small switch by the doors latching assembly. Links below give instruction.

I have a 2001 Chrysler Voyager LX. My non-power sliding door on the passenger side won;t open from the inside. Opens fine form the outside. How do I fix this? Is there a child safety lock I do not see?...

A child safety lock switch hidden away on the trailing edge of the door can be engaged to prevent opening it, will be a little switch of sort itll move up or down. door will open from outside but not inside for child safety,

Sliding door wont slide open on my 2004 dodge grand caravan, whats causing that to happen? It's both doors.

Is this only from the Inside? are you able to open from outside? If its only from inside that you are unable to open, the it may be the CHILD SAFETY switch on each door while door is open look at the front of each door you should see a switch that reads CHILD SAFETY, it designed to keep children from opening door from inside while vehicle is in motion. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Door doesn't open from inside

Which door? If it is the rear sliding doors then you may have the child safety lock on. See below to turn off the child safety lock:

Sliding doors will not open with the buttons at the doors. They will open with the remote and the buttons in the front console.

The Child Safety options prevent children from opening the sliding doors. Similiar to the safety locks. Disengage and the sliding doors side buttons will operate. I glad this worked for you. And you are entirely welcome!

I have a 99 montana passenger side sliding door dont work. Hit either button all it does is clicks and motor seems to be fine.. I went to junk yard bought complete new motor and everything that comes...

I would check the overhead buttons there are two one opens the door, and the other beside it that shows the van crossed out, disables the electric sliding door feature. try playing with that, Also remember, that vehicle must be in PARK for the electric sliding door to open. Make sure the power lock on that door is working, and check the child safety lock when you have it open by the doors catch. Hope that Helps You.

From the back of the front door slide your hand in the sliding door crack and find the child-safety-lever. Push the lever up and/or down while moving the sliding door manual lock/unlock button to the up position. Also works on the non-powered sliding door.
