is the light oven on??? can you see the switch/button that the door would hit against to turn light off?? if so depress button so the lifht goes off, and start a clean cycle. This should make the lock mechanism engage fully. then cancel cycle and should fully disengage lock/latch (you need to depress light switch to trick unit into thinkin the door is closed)

Decalcification
Decalcification refers to the removal of calcium
deposits which form over time on the metal
parts of the coffeemaker.
For best performance from your Brew Central
Thermal™ Coffeemaker, decalcify the base unit
from time to time. The frequency depends upon
the hardness of your tap water and how often
you use the coffeemaker. The flashing Clean
light will indicate when you should clean your
coffeemaker.
If the Clean light begins to flash when the
coffeemaker is turned on, it is telling you that
the calcium buildup is interfering with the
functioning of your coffeemaker and the flavor
of your coffee. To clean, fill the water reservoir to
capacity with a mixture of ¹⁄³ white vinegar and
²⁄³ water. Press the Clean button. When the self
clean light glows, turn the coffeemaker on by
pressing the on/off button. The Clean light will
shine steadily. The coffeemaker is now in Clean
mode. One cycle should be sufficient to
adequately clean the coffeemaker. When the
cycle is completed and the five beeps sound,
the coffeemaker will shut off. Turn the
coffeemaker ON to see if the Clean light
continues to flash. If it does, turn it to OFF and
then repeat the cleaning procedure with a fresh
solution of vinegar and water.
If the Clean light no longer flashes, turn the
coffeemaker to OFF and then run one cycle of
fresh cold water through the unit before using
the unit again to brew coffee.
Notes on the Clean F unction
Pressing the Clean button cancels all other
settings. If it is pressed accidentally, press it
again to return the coffeemaker to all its
previous settings. Pressing ON/OFF will also exit
the Clean Mode and turn the coffeemaker OF

You may find this a useful site in the future:

Your Instruction Booklet:

http://www.cuisinart.ca/pdf/ibs/en/DCC-1200C_en.pdf

It is likely that calcified deposits are gradually breaking away as you now use the coffee maker. Is your Self Clean light flashing? Instructions on decalcification and cleaningh begin on page 5 of your booklet.

To clean, fill the water reservoir to capacity with a mixture of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water. For your problem, let the vinegar solution sit in the reservoir for 30 minutes to an hour before beginning the cleaning cycle.

Press the Self Clean button. When the self clean light glows, turn the coffeemaker on by pressing the ON button. The self clean light will shine steadily. The coffeemaker is now in Self Clean mode. One cycle should be sufficient to adequately clean the coffeemaker. When the cycle is completed and the five beeps sound, the coffeemaker will shut off. Turn the coffeemaker ON to see if the Self Clean light continues to flash. If it does, turn it to OFF and then repeat the cleaning procedure with a fresh solution of vinegar and water.

If the Self Clean light no longer flashes, turn the coffeemaker to OFF and then run one cycle of fresh cold water through the unit before using the unit again to brew coffee.

If you continue to see debris, unfortnately you will have to repeat until clear.

In the begining when i put a gearbox to drive,it must begin with 1 then 2 ,it jumps to 3 from the begining

It's in FAIL SAFE mode. Did the 'Check Engine' Light come ON? Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on.
You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE and perhaps eventually fix the problem.

Loud noise when unit is pumping

Sounds like it is not getting enough water. Try adding water to it to see if the sound goes away. Start the unit at the begining of a cycle, open the door after it has started to circulate and see where the water is at. If it is low then you have a problem with the amount of water coming in, possibly the waterproof (valve) is going. If the level is good and it happens later in the cycle, it could be a drain issue. You may have to get in a tech.

I have never used a self cleaning oven setting before. How do I start it? Afterwards what do I do? Do I leave the racks in? What is the routine? Thanks for your information! Barb

in general, if indeed it is a self cleanig oven, hte procedure is as follows.first remove the oven racks, then wipe up any loose dirt/grease from bottom of oven. next simply press the clean button( perhaps then pushing temp up button 3:00 will appear in display.) then press start, the door should lock and the clean cycle will begin.. Its important to realize that if this is the first time its run and if its real dirty the unit will smoke and smell real funny as cycle progresses, this is normal for the the clean cycle is actually incinerating the dirt/grease from unit. no need to panic and stop it but better to open a window and let complete the cycle, the door will automatically unlock whine the unit has cooled to a ssafe temperature, then open the door and wipe out the white ash from the oven floor
