You're asking about the picture settings to this TV; I assume, and posts this solution. Just set it to user mode; in terms of picture; set the Color to minimum (0); Contrast = 70 ~ 75%; Brightness to 30 ~ 40%. In this way, just set a picture in Black/White first. If you see that the contrast or brightness level should be adjusted to get a good B/W picture, do it according to your viewing taste. After set this, advance the color; and compare the skin tone of a news reader at the studio.
In most cases, this must be the perfect adjustment. If you wish to get more details to picture, advance the Sharpness control. Do not set it too more. Less than 30% will be sufficient. If the broadcasting system is NTSC, you have to adjust the Hue too.

Picture settings..? What are the best calibration

You can't use someone else's numbers, even for the same set, and expect them to be perfect. The picture settings are governed by the viewing conditions in your TV room.

Settings such as Brightness can only be set correctly in the room where you are viewing. Brightness affects where you might then set gamma, and contrast, and colour. So just one setting has a lot of impact on several other areas of the picture.

Putting in someone else's numbers will make the picture look different. But that's not the same as the "best" calibration for your TV.

If you want to do a good set-up without spending any money, have a look at your DVDs and Blu-rays for those titles with the THX Optimizer.

I want to know the ideal picture settings for my samsung tv - (LE32B450C4W). The picture settings seem to need changing depending upon the type of programme i am watching. The TV is HD ready, but I am not...

There are as you know factory presets to choose from in the user menu.. Your eyes will tell you what you like. The only other way to get a killer picture is to have the TV Calibrated by a good ISF Calibrator.

What are the best settings for my samsung lcd tv 620 series

You only have the preset picture settings and the custom settings to use in the user menu.. Only your eyes can tell you what you like. The only other way to get a really killer picture is to have a Professional ISF Video Calibrator calibrate the set.

NO PICTURE ON MY LN-S4692 TV

This is a brand new TV. The first 100 hours it shuts down and a Service Tech will but a new chip set in. This is how it is calibrated by Samsung. Don't worry, the new chip set is a lot better. Let me know if you just bought this TV? If it has already been calibrated, I'll troubleshoot it for you.
