It sounds like the fuel cap is clogged. The fuel cap must be able to breathe in order for the carburetor to operate properly.

One way to be sure that it is the fuel cap is: The next time the chainsaw starts to die, loosen the cap for a second or two, it should start running properly again.

May mac 110 starts then it stops. I choke it it fires then i unchoke it and it starts and stops running.

Try backing the choke off about 1/2 way after it pops, and allow it to run for a few moments on that setting. Once the engine warms up, you can back the choke off completely. My Mac mini has no primer bulb, which means using the choke in a similar manner. Don't forget to set the 'fast idle' button on the throttle before starting (blipping the throttle will release the fast idle button). Hope this helps!

Starts but cuts off when given gas

Check the muffler and air cleaner for plugging. Make sure the carburetor is tight to the engine. Turn the H jet needle CW to stop (lightly), then back out CCW 1-1/2 turns. Start the engine allow to warm up. Pull the throttle full on and adjust H CW until the engine speeds up somewhat, but still 4-stroking. Proper adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Hope this helps!

I have a Mini Mac Model 13-24475, Ser 600093C and I need to repair or replace the starter pawls or assembly. Can you advise me as to part numbers and sources?

Atta boy! You got your numbers reversed but the right ones none the less (serial number 13-24475, Model 600093C).
A downloadable IPL (IPL number at any McCulloch parts source is 13-600093C) and can be found here:

Pro mac 850 super cc rateing and fuel mix

ProMac 850 is 82cc capacity motor & Fuel mix is 25:1 - especially now that we only have unleaded... best to use BP Ultra 98 octane as these saws were designed to run on Super leaded fuel. I used to own a 797 Super (123cc motor)
