SOURCE: how to install hp 21 cartridge into dell 926 printer

Use only genuine cartridges with your printer. Printers these days have a built in sensor that can sense non compatible/generic/refilled cartridges and wont install them. It will only cause you more problems in the long run if you use a generic cartridges.

Best bet is to buy genuine inks..

I brought the ink cartridge 124 instead of 126 they are exactly the same other then one is moderate capacity and the other is high capacity is there anyway to make it work

it should just clip in and the 126 should print around half a ream more pages
the standard cartridge for my hp is 61 but I buy 61xl which is about twice the capacity of the standard units
all the difference is more ink in the cartridge

My hp envy 5530 is only printing half a picture

If it is only printing the top half then it is quite possible you are running out of ink. Try printing on only black and see if this works. When is the last time you replaced the colour cartridge?

HOW CAN I RESET INK CARTIDGE LEVELS ON HP DESKJET 3510

When you get an HP 61 / 61XL integrated ink cartridge refilled (i.e. currently offered at Costco or Frys today) or if you buy a remanufactured/compatible HP ink cartridge, the ink levels cannot be reset (HP has a smart chip embedded within the nozzle plate at base of ink cartridge which counts the drops and then registers as empty).....so you'll just need to live with it and ignore 'ink low', 'non-genuine', 'counterfeit' messages and similar while you are using these types of aftermarket supplies. The first video below provides an overview of this 'low ink' phenomena.
Additionally, severe cartridge errors (i.e. Incompatible cartridges, Black/Color cartridge(s) problem / Cartridge not intended for this printer, etc.) typically indicate the internal micro-electronics of the HP 61 cartridge are electrically damaged. The cartridges electrical wire runs at rear and lower side of the ink cartridge are very delicate and are somewhat susceptible to ink attack over time, which can lead to premature failures. In addition, the older the cartridge the higher the chance of an internal electrical failure due to prolonged ink exposure and subsequent circuit corrosion. I suggest you run a Tap 41 diagnostic test to check cartridges electrical health (this is a forced service test so the printer will attempt to send whether cartridges are good or not); Refer to Inkjet411 youtube videos below:

Printer Error Message

Yes, there a few items you need to consider with respect to HP 61 (or 61XL) cartridge errors messages on any HP Deskjet 1000 through 3510 printer model:
If you get an HP 61 / 61XL integrated ink cartridge refilled (i.e. currently offered at Costco or Frys today) or if you buy a remanufactured/compatible HP ink cartridge, the ink levels cannot be reset (HP has a smart chip embedded within the nozzle plate at base of ink cartridge which counts the drops and then registers as empty).....so you'll just need to live with it and ignore ink low, non-genuine, counterfeit messages and similar while you are using these types of aftermarket supplies. The first video below provides an overview of this low ink phenomena.
If the new (or refilled/reman/compatible) HP 61 / 61XL ink cartridge refuses to complete the printer alignment following cartridge installation, then the ink cartridge either has a connectivity issue with the flexible printed circuit cable (inside unit where cartridge mates with cable), rear cartridge contacts or cable contacts are dirty with ink residue, or the cartridge is suffering from marginal internal electrical performance. Ensure you press OK or Cancel up to six times to clear out the printer error log.
These types of severe cartridge errors (i.e. I can't get my HP DeskJet F300 series back online.I ve done everything, I ve even stopped the print spooler and started it again but the same problem still exists. And another problem that the ink cartidge...

First, the cartridges. This printer uses a 21 for Black and a 22 Tri-Color. The 58 is a Photo cartridge that replaces the 22, not the 21. Make sure that the cartridges are properly placed in the printer. The next step is the easier one. Might sound like some work, but it is the best way to correct conflicts with HP branded printers. First, uninstall the printer from the PC completely. Use the uninstall function. When that is done, re-install the printer onto the PC and test it. This should solve your problems, as long as there is not physical issues with the printer itself.
