I have a rosewood parlor grand upright piano made by Ernest Gabler and Brother serial #34748, manufactured for WJ Dyer and Bro of Minneapolis. Can you shed any light of the year of its manufacture?

Remove the middle C key to see date of manufacture written in pencil. May also show repairs and tuning dates.

In 1883, Emil & Ernest Gabler went into partnership to form the hugely successful company of 'Ernest Gabler & Brother'. During the 19th Century, Gabler was known for building extravagant and expensive pianos, including square grands and uprights. By the turn-of-the-century, the company was fairly successful and was building a complete line of baby grands and player pianos as well. In the early 20th Century, the firm also manufactured Faber and Baus brand pianos. All Gabler pianos we have restored in our shop have been of superior quality. Gabler went out of business in about 1932 due to the Great Depression.

B.C. Rich Ironbird Pro guitar serial no G01111219. What year was it made and where?

Dating Your Rich Guitar Dolphin Music

The relevant part -
In November of 2000 B.C. Rich implemented a new date stamp format for serial number coding of it's imported models. . This started on the January 2001 models. All B.C. Rich models, both imported and usa handmades implement this same year time date stamp and guitar production number format:

121XXXXX first digit = year of manufacture
second digit = means nothing until double-digit years get here again
third digit = quarter of manufacture
digits 4 thru 8 = production number

Current US-made B.C. Rich serial numbers follow the same year and guitar production number format. (example - serial number #24123 was the 123rd guitar made in 2004)

I have a Jackson erie dess Dinky. The serial number is 04041727. I would like to know the actual model #, where and what year it was made and where can I get an ACCURATE wiring diagram for this sc/sc/hb 1...

Search this site based on how many pickups you have for a configuration matching your guitar.

Apparently some of these were 2008 models. It is possible the date code is imbedded in the serial number. That MIGHT mean it was made in Apr 2004.

You may find date codes on some of the internal parts. Thes usaull will be 2 digit year followed by 2 digit week of manufacture.

How old is my Yamaha, the serial no. is: G2387 337

Yamaha pianos should all have a label SOMEPLACE on the instrument. USUALLY the label will have the manufacturing date listed, and sometimes coded by two digit year and two digit week.
You will likelly find dates within the unit as well.
Check this link:
http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/ContentDetail/Text_WithCatMenu_XC.html?CNTID=12173
The "G" probably indicates where it was made.
Based on the site, your piano was p[robably mad between January and June of 1977.
