1. put it in your dock
2. Right click on it
3. Go options and untick open at login
4. Restart your mac
5. go into finder
6. find Genieo and drag it to trash
7. empty trash

Get a trial version of Mac Keeper. They have a smart uninstaller which has helped me in the past. I suggest buying the full if you like it. Really helpful tool.
