SOURCE: Not Brewing
We have had this problem intermittently but we had a bigger problem that I solved yesterday. Our LCD display was not displaying properly - words were missing so we just had to guess when it was ready to brew. I called Keurig and they offered a new one for $100 since it was out of warranty. They did ask me if I had descaled the machine and, I'm embarassed to say, I had never done that. Well I descaled the machine and viola! - my LCD display completely came back just like new! Here's hoping the intermittent brewing problem is resolved as well! If you haven't descaled the machine recently, I would strongly suggest giving that a try for any problems you might be having. Of course, to descale, the machine has to at least be able to brew in order to get the vinegar through the machine...

I had some coffee grounds stuck up in the cone shaped hole that the water comes from at the top. I had to use a very long toothpick but it broke up some of the grounds that happened to get caught up inside. Before doing this, I went through 24 oz of vinager ;) .. the toothpick worked!

Sorry to read about your issue.
The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.
Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.
I tried to help you. Please help me and Vote/Rate this response. Thanks and good luck

Hi, Don, W/D here.
There's not a lot of troubleshooting advise out there for Keurigs, but here are a few things to try:
Try brewing a cup, without the K-cup in the holder. As the brewing cycle starts, hold your finger over the return line to the reservoir (lift the lid to the reservoir; it's in the top, back, and it's white). Careful, there could be hot water there. Plug the hole off with a gloved finger and this will run the cycle longer, and may unplug it. De-scaling may have moved some of the accrued sediment into the dispensing lines.
If you haven't tried it, try cleaning the upper and lower tips. Take an ordinary paper clip and straighten it into an "L" with the short side about 1" long. Pass this end up into the upper piercing needle (careful-sharp!) and down into the lower needle. Sometimes, it takes several tries to clear the needles.
If you try the needle clearing, then try plugging off the by pass. Repeat as necessary.
Hope that this helps you, --W/D--
