You can get any graphics card that fits into a PCI-E x16 slot, which is most of them these days.

You may like to refer to
and documents referred to in that document such as the motherboard spec. I'd copy these documents onto my PC if I were you; HP have a nasty habit of removing reference documents for items that think nobody reads.....
This is very out of date, but it might be worth a look (not many have HDMI out)
You might try searching the internet for eg PCI-E graphics card + HDMI
Just an example, at the cheap end recommends 300W psu.
You need to check that your case is large enough to fit your chosen card in.
Be careful about much power your potential new graphics card will need; you may need to get a higher rated PSU. The advice on PSUs is to buy a good quality one. New, quality ones are not cheap. In fact, having only a 259W PSU, you'll almost certainly need a more powerful PSU. This a fairly useful tool:
Once you start on that you will need to think about how to keep your computer cool.
Other than that it's a case of how much do you want to spend ? You might want to try a higher spec. card 2nd hand from ebay for example if don't want to spend the money for a new card.

I have an Acer Z5600 desktop PC and i want to know if it is possible to connect an external monitor?

Unfortunately it is not possible. The system doesn't come with the necessary ports. Until they come out with an external display that works with USB, that system will be out of luck.

How do i connect my gateway 509GE desktop to my hd t.v.

Does your PC have either a DVI or HMDI video connector on either the motherboard or the graphics (video) card? (In other words somewhere on the back of the machine?)

Does your HD TV have a DVI or HMDI connector on it?

If the answer to both of these questions is yes then you can do it.

Most peoples first choice would be to use the HMDI connectors. If you wish to do this you will need an HMDI cable.

If you decide to use the DVI connectors then you will need a DVI cable.

If your PC doesn't have either the DVI or HMDI outputs then you will have to buy a graphics (video) card for you PC. Be sure to get the appropriate cable also.

Once you have the HD TV connected to your computer you will have to use the graphics card's software to set things up. If you right click in an empty area of the desktop this software should be one of the choices in the menu.

Can you add graphics card

Generally speaking, no. Most laptops have their graphics card soldered on to the main board. If you have an integrated graphics card, you cannot add one. Even if the laptop has a discrete graphics card, replacing it is a daunting task. Working on a laptop can lead to ruin if you don't know what you're doing. Even if you do get to the graphics card and remove it, the replacement card can be extremely expensive. In general, it is not worth it to try and upgrade the graphics card, or add a graphics card, to a laptop.
On a desktop, you most certainly can add a graphics card.

What is a graphic card and what is the use of it?

thats depends on what the laptop graphics can support also you cannot replace the graphics card in a laptop only a desktop supports this, you cannot play high res games on laptops because they can't support the demand put on them, you will be able to watch just about any movie you want to, if you feel that you want more graphics then you have to buy a graphics accelerator card that plugs into the USB port, you also have to upgrade the memory to support this.

hope this helps

kind regards

Graphics card for my computer

I am afraid Dimension 3000 has no support for PCI-e or AGP Video cards. You can however install a PCI Video card in one of the three PCI slots. Just ensure that the PCI Video Card you get is universal (i.e. supports both 3.3 and 5 volts).

When you have your new PCI Video card, check here for guide to install the hardware.
