Question about HP Compaq ProLiant ML350 G5 Server
I has a APC Smart-UPS1000 which can auto shutdown the server but when come to auto bootup, it's failed. I has changed two versions of PowerChute Business Edition but still not able to fix it. Beside that, the Setup Utility for server also has been checked. Automatic Power On is enabled. Power On Delay is No delay.Please advice me on this problem.
It's divide and conquer time! First let's see if it's UPS or server related.
Try any, or all, of these Wake-On-LAN utilties to see if the server responds:
If it does, then there is a problem with the UPS that needs further invesigation.
If it does not, read this article from APC:
Also, if you are using a switch/router to connect the UPS to the LAN, make sure your network devices are configured to allow WOL.
