SOURCE: How do you Fix earphone?

It could be the wire is broken inside, or more likely the jack is not fitting into the plug as well as it did when new. Have you tried it in another device to see if it works there?

SOURCE: left earphone has lower volume than right

Maybe you can try adjusting the plug, or the wire within the left earphone is rusted, or change the sound effects on a computer.

Hello,
This could the way the music is been recorded if it is strero or mono, also do confirm the earphone if one side of the earphone is faulty or not, if bad replace with the exact type and if not the media itself is faulty, you can take it the an electronics repair shop for them to diagonised the appliances... Wire disconnect from left earphones

Time for some ingenuity.Disassemble the housing to get to the wire connections. The solder pads where the wires go are usually marked + or minus(-). The white/colored wire(signal) goes on the + side. This could be a red dot. The other wire (black) goes on the other pad(-). These wires are so fine they sometimes use nylon thread to give it a lil strength.Good Luck! dnbbgy

The cable on the headphone is broken, no music comes out anymore. Can I repair them / open the in ear headphones to resolder them ???

If the broken link is along the cable (not in the earphone) just cut the cable very close to the earphones and replace it with a new one (a stereo cable should contain at least 3 different wires inside). If the cable is broken inside the earphone itself, it is possible to solder it but because we are talking about a earphone it could be hard to open them and to closed them back in.

I hunted around. No luck. Then I stopped in an found the perfect fit from of all places Radio Shack. The Earpads come with a smaller pair and you have to buy both but they are an excellent replacement. The Radio Shack replacements are #330-0288 - Replacement Headphone Earpads - $6.99 USD.
