SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Scanning slides with the Epson Perfection 1250

To be honest, I have no idea of how you were able to scan larger transparencies in the past. The scanner and its software were never designed to do this and there is no workaround.

4. Save file. Turn on scanner and go into device manager and update the old minolta driver with this driver. You may have to manually update it.
5. All the normal Minolta programs now work just fine. Enjoy!

SOURCE: Cannon 4400F Scanner

I had the same problem with about 1 out of every 16 slides when I first got the scanner. The only way I found around it was to rearrange the slides and try again. I started scanning through the ScanGear software instead of Canon Toolbox, and haven't had that problem since. I've scanned about 6,000 slides and negatives so far.

Nikon Coolscan IV ED Jam Solution Do you find your older slides, cardboard...

Nikon Coolscan IV ED Jam Solution

926fb88.jpg

Do you find your older slides, cardboard slides, or irregular slides jam in the Nikon SF-210 Slide Feeder for your Nikon CoolScan IV ED?

Try this solution:

Take a AAA battery and place it in rear, left side of the slide feeding tray as pictured below:

4f7ce74.jpg

The slides will fan out nicely, and your Nikon CoolScan IV ED will no longer try to load more than one at a time. Instead it will load them one at a time, 50 per tray, and you can actually walk away from it and let it do its job, just the way you intended to when you bought the SF-210 slide feeder attachment!

I hope that helps.

NEED HELP WITH OTEK SCANNER PS979 MANUAL

I received one of these for Christmas and used it today for the first time. I have used it for slides and negetives but the photos don't illuminate uniformly as they have a bright strip in the middle.

As far as the manual goes, it is very poor. Also the controls and sequences are not very intuitive.

While it has a USB connection it seems to only use it for power. (my Windows 7 machine does not recognize it). As luck would have it, I had a spare SD Card and it works well but it would have been much easier (for the user) to have it saved on the computer directly but I suspect some of the functions built in may make this difficult especially with competing operating systems.

You have to save to the SD card and then transfer the card to a card reader to get it into the Computer for any fancy editing.

Best of luck.

Please let me know if Photos are illuminated uniformly.

Does the HP photosmart 2710 scan negative ansd 35mm slides?

This multi function printer/scanner cannot scan 35mm slides and negatives.
Some flat bed scanners with a lighr scource that shines through 35 mm slides and negatives can scan them.
You will be better off getting a dedicated 35 mm slide/negative scanner.
Check out this WEB site foe slide scanners.

How can I use my HP6210 officejet scanner to scan 35 mm slides

You cannot scan slides with this scanner.
Slide scanners need a light source that shines through the slide not a reflecting light like your scanner.

Help! We opened the box for our new Brookstone Slide and Negative Scanner Model # SKU634402 and the installation CD was missing. Is there online installation available or should we just return the item...

A search for that model on Brookstone's website takes me to the iConvert Instant Slide and Negative Scanner. That scanner does not require an installation CD. It works by scanning slides or negatives and then saving them to an SD card. Many digital cameras use SD cards so you may have one already. Otherwise an SD card will need to be purchased separately.

Scanning 35mm slides and saving to computer

In order to scan 35mm slides to your computer, you need a scanner that has the capability of doing this. These scanners will either come with a 35mm adapter that will allow you to scan the slides, or there are scanners that will scan only 35mm slides. A good recommendation is either this or this.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.

Scans slides too dark.

maybe the slides are too dark, in other words, the pictures you took didn't have enough exposure therefore you it shows up dark.. You could always use photoshop or someother photo manipulation software to lighten the scan, same thing happens with my hp scanner with slide adapter, if it slides just show up dark, lightening it with software will help, unless it is unsaturated/shadows too dark, etc..

Hope this helps.
