If you close your PayPal account, it can't be reopened. Any scheduled or incomplete transactions are canceled. You can't close your account if there are limitations, unresolved issues, or a balance. Also, if you have an email address on your account that you haven't confirmed, remove it from your account before you close it.
To close your account:
  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click the Profile icon next to "Log Out."

Want to cancel my paypal account

Log in to your PayPal account. Enter your username and password on the homepage.[1] Check that your account doesn't have any pending transactions. You want to make sure you aren't still in the process of sending or receiving money when you close your account.
  • Transfer any money still in the account to your bank account. This process can take 3 or 4 business days to complete, depending on your bank's procedures. Check that that has proceeded smoothly before closing the PayPal account.
  • Go to your account page. First click on "My Account," then click on the Profile sub-tab.
  • Select your settings. You will see an inset beneath the words "My Profile. Click on the words "My settings."
  • Click on the "Close Account" link. It that is located in the "Account Information" row.
  • Follow the verification prompts that come up. You'll need to select the reason you're closing your account from a provided list.
  • Finish closing your account. When you've verified everything, and you are sure you want to close your account, click the "Close Account" button.
