SOURCE: enabling 'shrink to fit' in print preview

Shrink to fit option is part of the browser's controls. In IE 8, the option is on the tool bar when in print preview mode. However, no option in page setup..

In Firefox, the same said control is also on tool bar in print preview mode and also in the page setup.

Suddenly the font size on my printer increased greatly. How can I get it back to normal????

Printers do not understand fonts. They print dots, and they print them wherever the application that created the document, modified by the print spooler settings tells them. Thus there is nothing wrong with the printer. Check the print driver (spooler) settings. Do you have them set to "enlarge to fit page/shrink to fit page"? Do you have the wrong size paper selected? That, along with the previous problem, can cause major issues.

Toshiba CF32H40 32"TV shrinking picture with solid black on bottom. What causes this and can it be fixed?

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

Everything I try to print is being shrunk.

Welcome to FixYa.
Check the "Printing Properties" of the software you are using to print. The "scale to fit media" or an option to shrink the printout must have been turned on or checked. Depending on the software you are using to print, it is usually found at FILE > PRINT > Printing Properties.
Thank you for using FIxYa.

When I print a web page or email from AOL the font isze is very small

Try first doing a File-Print Preview - then on the right most side of the buttons on the Print Preview is a Drop down button that might say, "Shrink to Fit". Change that to read 100% or whatever other percentage you would like and then print it from that Print Preview screen.

Small letters being printed

Sounds like it is shrinking the fonts down to fit them on the page. You can either look for a button that will format it to print, or go into print through the print preview and set it to 100% instead of fit to page. Good Luck!

Printer printing very small

You are using Internet Explorer 7 and it automatically tries to fit the whole page in a sheet of paper.

Go to Page Setup and DISABLE Shrink To Fit

You might want to ENABLE the Background to print the lovely images
