Question about Mitsubishi WD-52725 52". Rear Projection HDTV
My 46" Projection Mitsubishi TV screen goes black, sometimes for hours at a time, but only once in a while. It will work fine for a few months, then go black for a few hours each day for a few days, then work fine again for another month or so. Very inconsistant problem. Otherwise, set has a great picture most of the time. It is about 15 years old.
This model series had a odd problem that caused this. It was the Hoizonal wire connctors for the yoke. If my memory serves me right, the Yoke wire harness went from Yoke to Yoke and plugged in at the casing of each yoke. What I found is the solder connection on the small board of each Yoke was intermitent. Please be careful if you choose to tackle this. It is in a HV Area.
Hope this helps,
