Question about JVC AV-36260 TV

1 Answer

TV turns on, then immediately off again

Whether I use the remote or the button on the TV itself, it is only on for less then a second before switching itself back off again. The only troubleshooting suggestion in the owners manual that applied said to unplug it for an hour and try again. I left it unplugged for a day and tried, but still didn't work. I see another problem on here that might be the same, but the reply was way to technical for me. Can anyone offer any help, or should I just go get a new TV? my jvc tv power on and off. its just a second when i open the tv using button or remote its suddenly off and on again always on and off. how to fix this problem?

Can a symphonic TV model WF203 be put in video mode without a remote

Only if you have a source button on the tv itself. On many of the newer sets you have to have the remote to access your other inputs. Without the remote, nada. And forget universal remotes - they only provide for the most basic functions and video source is not one of them. And you get hosed on original remotes.

Need the code to set the technika remote to ma toshiba telly

Maybe you could try the auto-set. Found this using google:
Auto code search

1. switch on the TV and select a channel eg. Bbc1 on the TV itself
2. press the appropriate device button eg. TV
3. press the green SET button for approx 5 seconds until the red light comes on.
4. release the green SET button and point the remote at the device to be controlled, the remote will emit a test signal about every 2 seconds.
5. when the TV switches itself off briefly press the green SET button to store the code found.
6. when the red light goes out the search is ended.
7. try out the remote if it works follow the same steps to set it to other devices eg. DVD. If it does not work follow the steps again.
cover other remote sensors on other devices when setting the remote.
