Question about Kenmore 43142 Front Load Washer

Washer won't turn on

Hello-I have a Kenmore front loading washer. I can not figure out why it will not turn on. The water is not flowing, but the unit does seem to have power. The orange light turns on when I try to run the machine, but no water. Any suggestions? Thanks

P.S. The hoses all seem to be connected.

No power Check to see whether power is getting to the washing machine. Is it plugged in? Has a fuse blown or is a circuit breaker tripped?

Lid switch If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse.

Hello, My Kenmore Model #11042822203 Front load washer stops after water goes into the drum. It makes a straining noise. It spun last time I tried it, but went slower than normal.

This could be a lot of things. There is a belt drive on the drum, The belt might be worn out, there could be a bearing that is starting to fail or it could be the motor or motor control board. Kenmore Washer Won Spin

Kenmore won't fill with water

Make sure your water valves are turned on. Check for blockages in the rubber hose and especially where the water enters the washer. Sometimes the chack valve of a washer can collase and restrict the flow of water entering the washer. It is usually located just beyond where the hose connects to the washer. Metal screens can clog and stop water flow. Check and replace as necessary.

The electronics of the washer may also not be advancing to the point where it allows water to enter, The main dial may be faulty. Check and verify all washer settings also

My Kenmore HE2 front load washer when I go to start a load of clothes it's making a humming sound and not filling up with water?

Either one of your water valves isn't working properly, or the lines have sediment restricting the volume of water . What I would do is turn the water to the machine off and remove the water lines and make sure they aren't filled will calcium, etc. and look in the water valves where the hoses connect because that are, which has a screen, may be full of nastiness. If both those are good then the water valve solenoid(s) are stuck and won't open. The humming sound you hear lets you know the rest of the machine is working because the sound is generated by power being applied to the valve by the control.

My machine is Kenmore Elite front load It is

Hello Sandra,
The FH error code means the computer on the control board didn't detect any water entering the washer..sometimes it doesnt detect the water entering because the filter screens on the water inlet valve are clogged with sediment and water is having a hard time entering the washer.

The filter screens can be checked by turning off water at the faucets and disconnecting the fill hoses from the back of the machine and pop the screens out of where the hoses connect at the washer and check for blockage in them. If they are found to be clean, check the water coming out of the hoses before connecting them back to the washer...if the screens are clean and water pressure is good out of the hoses the part of the washer called the FLOW METER would need to be replaced.

Thanks for using FIXYA.com

My kenmore elite quite pak 2, HE3 shows F then H and quits the cycle.

Hello,

The FH error code mean that no water was detected entering the machine. The things to check are,a pinched or kinked water hose into the washer, the faucets off or if faucets on make sure that something has not restricted the water flow through the hoses..this will be possible espically if they washer is connected using "AQUA FLOW FLOOD STOP" ..the internal flood stopper will cause water flow to be cutoff for no reason. Also check the filter screens on the back of the washer where the fill hoses connect to,for debris in the screens.

If all above checks ok i would suspect the part called the FLOWMETER was defective in the washing machine.

Error code 20 on Kenmore C47192 front loading washer

F20 is an indication of low water flow. Check that the screens in the hoses or the valve at the back of the washer are not clogged. Mineral buildup in the water lines can break free, causing the screens to plug.

Press Stop twice to cancel any cycles, unplug the washer while you check the hoses, then plug back in.

If you find plugged hoses, then you should not have any additional problems. If you didn't, check to make sure there is adequate flow from the wall valve by removing the washer drain line from the wall drain pipe, put the washer end of the water hoses into the drain pipe one at a time, and turn on the faucet to assure there is good flow. Be sure to hold the hose into the drain pipe.
