All he needs todo is open the bottom up and he will see the fan,its only a couple of wires he has to take of the board and a couple of screws to remove the fan.

Pcg-3c2l system fan extremely noisy

Your fan is about to go out. It will have to be replaced. Once the fan goes out your laptop will run hot and shut down without notice. To replace the fan calls for disassembling your laptop. Get a quote from your local computer shop, then try the guys at:
http://www.generalsystemsconsulting.com
They will repair it and ship it back by Fedex or UPS and beat most quotes including the shipping charge.

Fan overheating and noise

If you hear rattling or grinding noise from your fan, that's already a sign that it's breaking down and needs to be replaced and the computer will eventually gets very hot because it couldn't accommodate and blow the heat out of the processor anymore. If you know your way around the computer and want to replace the fan yourself, you can get spare parts here or here and disassembly guide here.

Good Luck

Hi, I have an HP Pavilion a367c and the CPU fan is making a lot of noise. The noise comes and goes but "go" periods have been getting shorter :( . I think the bearings are dying. It looks like a typical...

I was going to say dust is whats causing it but then i relized you have opened your computer. So nevermind that.

The fan speed is controlled by the motherboard. The Pentium 4 processor tells your motherboard how hot it is. so then the motherboard turns up the fan faster. Thats why its louder when the CPU is doing alot and is quieter when its doing nothing. You can try replacing the fan yourself but i would recommend just getting a whole new heatsink.

they are cheap! I would recommend the thermaltake one.

My hard drive has been making a clicking noise for a while, the computer freezes up at times, I do not think the cooling fan is working, could this cause the issue with the hard drive making noise, and if...

More than likely, your hard drive is failing. This COULD be the cause for the freezing. The other thing that could cause the freezing is if the processor is getting too hot due to the failed fan. Either way you will need to have your HD replaced before it fails completely. The clicking you are hearing is the read head hitting the case of the hard drive. It might have started from being too hot. If the parts of your computer are getting too hot, it will increase the chances that they will fail in the future.

My computer is becoming really hot and noisy. After turning on the computer, everything is good (no noise). Once around 15 minutes passes by or I open up a lot of programs together, my computer starts...

Sounds like the fan is wearing out, as it heats up the fan needs to spin faster and if the bearings are wearing out it will start getting louder and it will also get hotter because the fan cannot keep up the heat being produced. You can replace the fan, most computer shops will carry replacements, also get a can of compressed air and give the inside of the computer a good cleaning. This will help keep things cooler as well. Also make sure that the air vents on the outside of the case are clear as well.

Is it normal for my laptop to blow hot air from the blower fan and doing some noise every 20-30 seconds?

Not sure which laptop you have but this it is common for this to occur. The noise is the internal cooling fan coming on and this is why you get hot air coming out. In warm conditions some laptops have their fans on all the time.
