Hi... I installed the Creative CS2 Suite including Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Illus... etc onto my laptop which is running Vista basic OS. When I try to start up Indesign it only gets as far as the initialising stage (ie. Starting Up Service Registry) then stops and a window comes up saying the program has stopped working properly due to a problem (which it doesn't specify) and that it will close the window. I tried to reintall just the Indesign part of the program. But this had no effect. Can you please help

- Hi.... I uninstalled the whole CS2 Suite off my Laptop and Re-installed it again, hoping that this would solve my Indesign problem... but alas, no, luck.... still got the same problem... it just doesn't want to get past the "Starting Up Service Registry..." then it comes up the the 'Closing Down' program details as mentioned before. It is a brand new laptop and it's running VISTA Home Premium Version of OS. Any ideas????
Is this a legit copy of the software? You may need to do a full uninstall of CS2 and then try it again. Is it only a problem with indesign? It also sounds like a similar problem I've found with a Vista issue, is this on XP or Vista?

- Sounds like a 64 bit compatibility issue. CS2 was released with windows XP in mind and since Vista home premium is running in 64 bits they wouldn't be compatible. So unfortunately you may be victim to the Vista software abyss... There is a possible workaround. By installing to "C:\progra~2" instead of the default directory. If that doesn't work Adobe's stance is that they don't officially support 64bit on CS2...

I have designed a magazine in indesign cs4 and have exported it into pdf format (latest reader installed). I then open the pdf and select view>page display> single page however, I am still presented with a two page layout which were two pages in indesign. When uploading the pdf in flash format instead of two pages, i get four. What is the problem and solution to this problem?
