My nikon d90 will not stop flashing f--- on the screen. I have removed the card, reformatted the card, but it will only let me take a few pictures before it tells me it is full. I looked in the book and it said to use a sandisk, and that is what I have but it does not work.. any answers????

Dear Ginastrole,
You might have already confirmed this but I just wanted to be doubly sure .. Are you clicking pictures in RAW format or in JPG format and what is the space on the Sandisk card?

Regards,
Srinivas

Nikon D90, I take the pictures but blank screen comes on to display screen on quick review and same on the Play mode as well. It is a new camera

Don't try to fix it yourself. If it is new, it is still under Nikon's one year warranty. Contact Nikon at 1-800-NIKON-US (1-800-645-6687) 9AM-8PM EST, Monday to Friday.

How do i copy pics from my computer to my nikon d90-it says the device is disconnected or has stopped working

It is never advisable to send pics from the computer to the camera...most of the time, the card and even the camera can be corrupted.

My computer stopped recognizing my d90 camera. it used to, but i can connect on my laptop

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

Nikon D90 flashed CHR and next time using camera LCD was black/grey with stripes and no pics HELP!!!

The CRH error message means that the lock tab on your memory card is in the locked position. The purpose for the lock switch is to allow you to set your SD card so that you cannot accidently erase your valuable pictures. Remove your SD flash memory card from the camera and hold it in your hand with the label toward you and the angled corner to the upper right. Look on the left edge of the card and you will see a very small slider switch. Make sure the switch is in the fully up position then reinsert it in the D90. If the camera is not generating a false error, your camera should work correctly.

My D90 sometimes has an err message and also a CHA in the the ISO mode. Also there is a green LED on the back of the camera that stays on. The only way to get all this cleared is a battery pull. When this...

CHA indicates a problem with the SD card. ERR indicates a camera malfunction. Try reformatting the card which may clear the problem or try a different card. The card may be creating the ERR message. On page 259 of the D-90 users manual, Nikon says this error can be cleared by releasing the shutter but the shutter will not release unless you turn the camera off and back on. Rarely, I have to remove the battery and reinstall it before the shutter will release. The camera will not function at all until the battery is reinstalled.

If you cannot resolve this problem using the above suggestions, I'd recommend that you contact Nikon technical support at www.nikon.com and see if they can help.
