Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I have replace a formmater from a z2100 to my z3100, I seem to be getting a 59.3.09 error when the machine is initializing. I can get into the service menu, but when i try a electronics unit test or ask for unit information it will come up with the error. I have tried the board back in the z2100, and it works ok. I can only think that the firmware are two different version on the formatter and electronics unit(z3100 printer is 18.104.22.168 and z2100 and formatter is 10.0.0.4). Is it a conflict in the firmware version on the formatter and hard drive to the printer?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: CLP-510 SPL-C Error message
SPL stands for "Samsung Printer Language". You are using an USB cable that is either too long (above 6 ft.) or too thin (cheap cables).
The reason why the test page prints is because it is a very simple and small page (thinking on kbyte terms). But larger streams of data do not arrive correctly due to attenuation and the error page prints instead.
If it is absolutely necessary to connect beyong 6 ft, you need either a good quality USB cable (try the Belkin brand found at OfficeMax), or connect using a parallel cable.

Remove all EIO devices and memory Dimm's execpt the firmware dimm.
Start the printer. If the error is gone then place the dimm's / EIO devices one by one.
(Don't forget to switch off the printer.)
If the error is still there then you might have a faulty firmware dimm.

Check the toners are not empty. The printer only estimates how much it thinks should be left, there is a possibilty one is empty. this is best done by removing each toner in turn and checking that the hopper in the drum is full to level with the sponge surrounding it. Next check are the toner sensors. These are small and located to the right of each toner cartridge in the wall of the printer, one could be dirty creating the error and not allowing the printer to start up completely, causing the scanner connection to fail and giving you "Failed to get printer information". On this model the scanner and printer are essentially separate units joined by a USB cable.
