I live in Republic of Ireland and require a replacement liner for a 0.5l flask. Where can I find this. Are liners still available or only new vacuum flasks

Vacuum flask liners have faded from the general scene
However if you try the specialist cooking tensile shops ( shops that handle pots, pans knives and all lines for the kitchen) you may get a shop that can still source the liner for you

Just dribbling, not filling up with coffee

If the coffee is flowing over the top and not going through the filter holder. into the flask below, check that there is no blockage under the filter holder or if fitted ensure the anti drip under the filter is open this is usually activated by the lid on the flask, which presses this open to allow coffee to fill the flask, when fitted, then to stop the coffee dripping onto the the hot plate below when removed. so ensure any lid for the flask is fitted and that the flask is in correct position on the hotplate to allow coffee to flow through.

I hope this was helpful.

How do I change the thermostat on a 1996 chevy cavalier

You will need a socket or wrench set to take the small bolts out of the thermostat, You need to have something to catch any antifreeze in the heater hose as you remove usually the top heater hose. You will need a new thermostat and some gasket sealer. You might need to remove the old gasket sometimes they stick BUT BE CAREFUL do not grove the gasket area. Use a gasket scraper to remove old gasket, if you don't have one you can use a straight blade to remove it JUST BE CAREFUL not to grove housing. Put gasket sealer on one side of gasket and place on thermostat housing let dry 5 minutes. Then use sealer on the top of gasket and place thermostat on gasket let dry 20 min. Replace bolts in thermostat and replace heater hose then start car and check to see if you need to add antifreeze if you lost any. Hope that helps

How does a thermos work?

A thermos is a vacuum flask that has two flasks. One flask is in the other flask and they are joined at the top. The gap doesnt have a lot of air. This makes a near-vacuum with the prurpose of stopping the transfer of heat or cold. Therefore, the thermos keeps a drink hot or cold.

My Bunn Coffee maker is leaking water from the bottom.

I had the same problem. On mine (and probably yours) the problem was the seal between the (upper) plastic water reservoir and the lower (metal) heating reservoir. No replacement seal is available.

I fixed mine by coating both sides of the old seal with aquarium grade clear silicone sealer - available at pet supply stores. Just a light (1/16") coating is all that's required. Carefully re-assemble and allow the sealer to cure for 24 hours.

I did that over a year ago, and it hasn't leaked a drop ever since.

Specs on torquing head bolts on 1988 pontiac lemans aka daewoo lemans aka passport optima. also do i need gasket sealer anywhere or gaskets only when doing a head job on this car?

firstly tighten in sequence to 20Nm all round, then tighten to 30Nm all round, then tighten 90 degrees all round, and finally tighten a further 90 degrees all round. if you taken head off you should replace gasket or just use gasket sealer if you cant replace, just replace the head bolts, dont reuse or they may break
