Some USB ports fail to recognize certain flash drives. i have a dell that does not show certain flash drives when inserted. but some are 2.0, some are 3.0 usb ports so you have to realize that some OS versions may recognize some USB's depending on versions.

SOURCE: I can not play audio files

In the windows media player go to > now playing - more options - devices - speakers then changed the audio device to use your soundcard.

Also, uninstall any other players, they usually interfere with each other.

SOURCE: Some USB-connected devices don't show up as drives

Hey Kunal,

This is not unusual windows will only recognize the standard memory cards not any custom ones or inbuilt ones. For example if your device is using a SD memory stick it will show up in explorer however if you are using a device that has a copyright or custom it wont. I am surprised the digital camera is doing the same thing as thy use mmc cards which are standard and should show up.

With these devices when you connect it to a pc you would get an option on the lcd on the device that would need you to confirm connection. may be thats what you were looking for. If you have a memory card reader you can try using that as well.

Please rate if this fixed it or was helpful.

If i missed something let me know.

The drivers must be up to date and written for your device. If there are no drivers, it will not communicate and thus it may look like it is working and in place, but the linkage is not there.

My 32 gb flash drive only show 8mb

Hi

Plug ur pen drive. Rt click my computer and select manage. Under storage select disk management. check state of drive here.
Delete the partition an perform fresh format. ie deleting will term the space un-allocated, if OS does not detect 32GB here then the drive if faulty. Check on at least 2 PC before coming to this conclusion.
Also plug the device on the mobo USB and not on extended connector and see if it works.

32gb data traveller not showing on pc

Open up Device Manager (Windows key, Pause Break or right click on computer and go to properties. Then on the left go to the device manager.

Attempt to find your Flash drive, it might have a (!) next to it. Right click it and click uninstall. After that, Click on the top Icon that says scan for hardware changes (computer with magnify glass) and it should see it. If not restart.

If you cannot see your flash drive in device manager then it something wrong with the drive :/
