Question about Chef's Choice 677 Cordless Electric Kettle

The pot lasted about five years and today the switch contacts melted inside. I doubt that parts are available, so...

Thanks to 151mph, I fixed mine too. The plastic linkage he speaks about are these little removable contacts that connect the power from place to place. You just pull them off, spray some WD40 on the metal contact underneath, put the linkage (for lack of a better term) back on, screw the bottom plate back on, boil some water, have some tea, and call it a job well done.

I was stunned to discover that this trick worked for me, also! Never would have guessed it in a zillion years; I figured the element was bad and I'd have to get a new one. Tried Google, got here, spent 3 minutes with a screwdriver and WD-40, and voila!! Amazing. Thank you all for sharing.

Quisnart sells the whole base for $22, but I have not been able to find the little round switch though. If you want to buy the whole base, call quisinart at 1-800-726-0190

Might be a blown fuse or the filament or heating element got busted/opened!
