Question about Welding Tools
We want to manufacture stainless steel products and need to find out how do you go about quoting. We can obtain prices for all the materials but do not know how to calculate the usage of Argon gas, s/steel wire and time taken to do a proper weld.
First, depending on where you live some shops(welders) will "quote you a price". check the yellow pages. Use a time and material guide. Material should be included with the price of the stainless...many times you could find a contract with the locaaaaaal gas co.(speciaiality type)e.g. helium O2 etc. good place to start.

Unfortunately yes, any stainless steel product can get rusty
under some circumstances although a stainless steel is much more resistant to
corrosion and rust. I suggest you to get stainless steel if you don't want to
replace your silverware and kitchen product every couple of months.
