Possible that the optical head is faulty. Had the head cleaned manually or with a lends cleaner. If there is no response even with a good DVD then it is possible that the optical head unit is faulty and must be replaced.
Confirm the prices/estimation of a new head unit before the work can be done.
Hi Good day.. Maybe your printer head was not properly clean my solution for you is to clean it by using the head clean in the printer properties... please do the following: 1. 1. Click the Start button at the lower left corner of your screen. 2. Click on Control Panel. Next, choose Printers and Other Hardware, and then View Installed Printers or Fax Printers. 3. When the Printer page opens, right click on your printer's name, and choose Printing Preferences. 4. The Printing Preferences has five tabs across the top; choose Maintenance. 5. Click the Head cleaning, and then click clean again. to start the cleaning.
When the cleaning is done you can print a test page. and see if your print page is fine.. if it's not, you must clean it again... hope my solution will help you..
It's sticking pretty good. Try what I do: Pull the head off and clean it out pretty good. Also clean where the spool attaches to the trimmer. Before you reassemble it, give it a shot of powdered graphite (I get mine at the hardware store. It's for locks). Reassemble the spool onto the trimmer. Bump it on the ground several times to distribute the graphite within the head. Now, press the head in and pull on the trimmer line. It should dispense a little line and stop, just like when the machine is in operation. If it works, you're done! If it doesn't work, you will need to replace the spool. They are available at the major hardware stores. Even if you have to replace the spool, the graphite trick is a good one. It'll keep the head dispensing line smoothly. I add the graphite probably every 7th or 8th time I rewind the spool.

Most of those CDs they sell are just a gimmick, nothing can replace a good hand cleaning with a cue-tip done by taking the whole thing apart. Take it to the local technician to get it cleaned properly first and foremost, or do it yourself if you feel safe enough taking all this apart and cleaning a tiny fragile little lens with a cue-tip and windex yourself. If a good hand cleaning like that does not work, then it means the reader head itself is defective and need to be replaced. If this is the case, don't bother. A cheap head will go for around 200$ usually and sometimes more, and at the price you get a new complete system it will be better buying a whole new sound system.
The problem is with the print head.
Firstly try cleaning cleaning and more cleaning because it means the nossles are blocked or the head is done for. If after doing a ridiculous amount of cleaning it still doesn't work then a last resort that has worked multiple times for me is to get a syringe without a needle. Remove the color in question and get a cup of boiling water fill the syringe and squirt it in the cradle where the ink gets fed to the head and wait 15 mins then repeat the process a few times. Wipe up any water around the contacts and put the cart back in, then go back to the cleaning. If the problem is not solved after this unfortunatly its time to bin the printer because the time to install and cost of the head is generally more than its worth (Not always but mostly the case)
Hope this fixsya
Been ther and done all of the stuff
Have pulled the ****** apart... wont go into detalis
try copy black only sheet of text 12x20 times then run head clean

perfrom a deep head clean 2 times this will clean the printer printer head out. make sure u have heaps of in in your ink tanks as it uses a bit of ink to clean the heads out. then try and do a print. also you may need to do a head alignment on the printer. this head alignment should be done after u replace ink tanks.
the only other item it could be is the print head on the printer.
