The drain might be backing up. You probably do need to drain the condensate water. The unit should have a small hose at the bottom in the back where the water will gravity drain out.

There is not any condensed water coming out the back of the unit. Is this a problem?

the amount of condensate water is related to how much humidity the unit is pullling from the cooling space.

It's possible that water is actually dripping from the unit and it is so little you're not noticing it.

However, if the unit is 'cooling' ok - I would not worry about the lack of water - unless - water starts to drip "inside" from the front of the unit - in which case you will have a problem with the drain.

You could also check the unit and make sure it has a slight tilt to the outside.

Also, you could check and see if the drain hole is clogged up - preventing water from draining.

Hope this helps.

Water clogged in the outlet pipe

This is the condensate drain line which drains humid water the a/c coil collects.

To clean you can try compressed air, blow through the pipe.Or take pipe apart and flush it out.

Have the unit off when doing this, also clean the collection pan out of debri.

My unit dripps from the tubing, front fans and back pannel

Usually there should be a drain pipe connected to the back end of the unit and long enough to remove the water from the room to a suitable drain point. You should see that this is installed. If so, then check that the existing drainage outlet is not blocked. You should also make sure that all filters are clean.

I have a samsung 1300 btu, theres a stinky stale water damp smell comin from the air an i noticed that the air conditioner does leak that much water, where is it goin

verify that the drain coming out of the back of the unit is clear, and make sure that the unit is pitched downhill to the outside, you can safely spray some bleach water in a spray bottle on the front of the indoor coil, that will ehlp with the smell after you get the drain cleaned,( you may also have some build up on the indoor coil. I would take the unit outside and thoroughly wash it.

Water leakage from internal unit of split AC

Draim pans do get dirty and partialy block drain pan. If possible take a shop vac and gently **** out the drain line. This will pull the restriction out of the line and help clean drain pan. Rusty

GE Portable Airconditioner - Model APN10AA Serial # GG509122

Ours was leaking water. After taking the covers off, cleaning it,and draining all the water out, I started getting the same problem with the light coming on every 7 minutes. I actually added some water to the system till it was too full and then drained it out through the plug. The light still came on every 7 minutes until I turned the unit off and then unplugged it for a few minutes. I plugged it back in, turned it on and reset the temperature. It seemed to reset itself and kept running normally. BB
