my maxent plasma tv has the same problem but it has green and red lines. I found out that hitting the tv from the back works. It used to last a long time but now i have to get up now and then to slap the tv on back with my hands! anyone with a long term solution?

I had the same problem, it was fixed under an extended warrantee, caps on the power supply were bad, number 2074, they replaced it and another one on the same board.
Tv has been back and running fine for 2 months now, if you google Magnavox and blinking green power light you should be able to find a ton of hits on the same subject and many have repaired these tvs by themselves. Good luck, another solution is to order a new power supply, they run abut $150, if you can find one.
