Sir,
There is an interesting man I believe can stimulate your enthusiasm to be a success. Please? Take the time to travel to this link and watch this short but novel approach to building drawers.

Frank Klausz Dovetail Drawer DVD intro

As far as your saw. I would build a base jig to match the depth and width of your work piece, follow your layout leaving half the line. look over Kluasz' library and your sure to be as wide eyed and smiling as you will when your projects come together.

I have always advocated. New wood smells good. Fare . Well.

I can't raise my table saw blade when I crank the handle

My DeWalt Table saw does this, and for me its cleaning with a air compressor and nozzle. I cand seem to prevent it though. I tried grease on time and it just plugged up faster. I want to try a gravite lube next. To me it seems to be a desiegn flaw and I just clean the spline thead shaft that lowers and raises the blade. So far I just settled into a maintance air spray and it seems to work well enough.

My guess is you are talking about a table saw. If this has a plastic handle, the D shaped hole in the handle has probably become stripped. An easy fix it to put a hose clamp (the kind that you tighten with a screwdriver) around the hub of the handwheel. You might also have to put a shim (perhaps a small screw) into the flat space in the hub to help make the fit a little tighter. I did this fix on my own saw many years ago, and the fix has lasted much longer than the original handle.

DELTA YENONING JIG 34-184 WHY DOESNT FACE COME OVER TO BLADE? I GOT 5 1/2 INCHES FROM BLADE TO SIBE OF MITER SLOT,THAT A NORMAL SLOT OR MINE FARTHER AWAY

That's a normal mitre slot distance.
You may need to re-align the jig depending on whether your saw is a left or right tilting saw.
You can download instructions for your jig that tell you how to do so here.
Otherwise, I can only say that I have had the same question, and can only think that the jig was designed with the idea that you would screw your own backing plate against the face of the jig, to hold pieces in place or back them up as they passed over the blade, and for that reason the face is so far from the blade. (But I think I was using the jig on a powermatic saw at the time.)

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

How do you align the blade to the mitre slot on a Dewalt 746 table saw? trying to find step by step instructions

How did the blade get out of whack? Take the blade all the way up, put a straight edge against the blade, measure to the miter slot front and rear, if it is not the same, you will have to lightly loosen the carriage underneath and bump the thing over one way or the other with a lead hammer. Get it straight, then torque it back up. You should be all set. You can set your fence to the miter slots the same way. lock it down and check it, if it isn't right, adjust the fence, all fence adjust , from the cheapest to the best. Hope this helps.

I have a Craftsman 10" table saw model number: 137.248830. The saw doesn't make square cuts, it is more of a problem when using the miter. I have followed the alignment procedure so that the right...

I assume that your alignment procedure is about adjusting your miter gage. But you should first verify if the blade is parallel to the miter slot (the slot the miter gage slides in). This is adjustable underneath the saw, and sometimes comes crooked from the factory or comes loose later on. To check if the blade is parallel to the miter slot you can do this.....1. unplug the saw. 2. Raise the blade as far as it will go. 3. Clamp a piece of wood to your miter gage so that it just touches the blade as close to the front of the saw as possible. 4. Use a marker and mark that spot on the blade. 5. Now slide the miter toward the back of the saw, and rotate the blade by hand so that your piece of wood hits the same spot as where you checked in the front. You can see a large misalignment by eye. But you can get a little precise by using a piece of paper between the wood and the blade as a feeler gage. Or better yet, use a drop indicator instead of the piece of wood and you can measure the difference. If this isn't as close to parallel as you are able to measure it, you need to turn the saw over and find the bolts that attach the whole assembly under there to the table top. Once you have this in alignment, you should be able to set your miter to be square against any good square. If you don't have a high quality square, you can go to a tool store (Sears or whoever) with your miter gage in hand, and set it to be square against their most expensive square. If the square is square, and the blade is parallel to the slot and it still won't cut square you either have a bad blade or there is too much play in the saw's arbor. Try to wiggle the blade side-to-side - any wiggle at all is too much.

I juat bought a craftsman table saw model # 113.19063, would like to locate a owners manual and a miter gage, pluse a place to get replacement parts

The sears online store is at www.managemyhome.com and you can get manuals and parts for some current models there. For older machines, try this website.
Most miter guages are relatively interchangeable, so it's possible a current Craftsman model will work in your miter slots. Just check the depth and whether or not there's a slot in the bottom sides for a key to lock it in place, then compare the depth to the new one you find. There are also aftermarket and specialty miter guages available from the standard woodworking tool catalogs and online. Replacement parts could be an issue.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
