Hi, Is this gas or electric?
Test the fuse first. Here is how:
UNPLUG the dryer! Remove the rear panel of the dryer and locate the fuse. It is white and ¼” wide and 3” long. It is located on the blower housing. Remove the wires and check to see if it has continuity. If it does not, you need to replace it. If this dryer is electric, test the element and thermostats while the back is removed.
If this is a gas dryer, the front panel will need to be removed to test the ignitor.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Kenmore Elite 11072972101 gas dryer will not stay on after I push the start button. What is wrong and how do I fix it.

If you HOLD the start button down and the drier heats and runs, then your problem is most likely a relay which is supposed to energize (close contacts), which "latches" the condition when you push the start button. The most likely cause of such a failure, is a fuse or a thermal cut out, which has prevented normal operation. For safety reasons, being a gas appliance, I would NOT ATTEMPT to fix this problem yourself, unless you have licenses to service such equipment!

Kenmore Model 1.10 60902990 Dryer Problem

Try it with out connecting to your vent and see if it still trips, other wise your vent is still clogged. Also should be good air pushing out the disconnected vent, if not maybe blower wheel clogged.
Another thing is how hot is it getting.Maybe the operating thermostat is getting to hot and never stopping the heat when its supposed to.

Hi more info. I posted wrong. my dryer is model 11079912990. ser # mj1607152. type ddot-nat-1206006, cv22. 120 volt, 60 hz. 22000 btu .27 inch wide kenmore gas dryer. The dryer would run for a few...

You could have a blown fuse because of a clogged vent or a bad thermistor. A thermistor is used by electronic controls to measure temp changes inside the dryer. If the sensor is open then the brain does not have a clue how hot the dryer is. So it shuts down. Repair clinic has an excellent thermistor replacement video.

My Kenmore dryer keeps cutting off

Vacuum all of the air passages including the hose to the outside vent. Remove the lint filter and wash it in hot water and detergent; rinse and replace after drying. Restricted air flow may be tripping an over-temp switch.

My kenmore 90 series dryer's push start is in operative how can i repair this problem

It may be something very simple like a bad door switch or even a broken door switch actuator, in a kenmore dryer there is a tab thats sticks out of a hole in the wall that allows the dryer to run only if the door is shut, other models may have button that protrudes out of the dryer and when the door is shut, this allows the dryer to run. These switches go out from time to time, also if a dryer is full of lint build-up over time this will cause the dryer high limit or fuse to blow. The fuse is located near where the blower is in most cases. When the air in the dryer gets way too hot the fuse/hi-limit will blow and the house wont burn down.

only 2 things can be wrong, the heater element is toast or one of the safety thermostats is fried, most likely it is the heating element. make sure its well connected(while unplugged!!!)
