Question about Bosch PRO1072SM 10 Inch 72T Miter Saw Blade
If the blade is able to be spun when the motor is not running chances are it is the jackshaft. Take the motor off and remove the jackshaft housing. (the jackshaft has a gear on the backside and the blade attaches at the front side) If the gears are not stripped then try holding the shaft that the blade attaches to and spinning the gear itself. If it spins, and it probably will, then the Woodruff key under the gear is stripped. You can order the whole assembly for most saws for $20-$50. Or you can take it to a shop and see if they can press off the gear clean up the shaft and put a new key on. You can even do it yourself if you are up too it. That's what I did for my 10" delta.

Maybe the bolt which holds the blade on is loose. If the motor is on the RIGHT side of the blade, then the bolt has 'left-hand' thread. Turn it counter-clockwise to tighten.
