2001ford escape burning rubber smell and noise

Check the rear upper strut towers. These are notorious for rusting out, and causing the tire to hit the inner fender well. To my knowledge, no recall on this, but I've fixed a few with a rear quarter panel replacement from rock auto. You wouldn't notice it much on the rear of the vehicle. Smell the rear fender wells for burnt rubber odor.

My 2001 Ford Taurus shakes really bad. i can just be sitting in it and the whole car will shake. engine light is on, but the brakes are really bad also. what can it be? and how much do you think it wi

Sounds like a really bad vacuum leak, and or possibly a dead spark plug or wire. Check under the hood for a hissing noise. Broken, loose or missing vacuum line. Change spark plugs and wires.

Call the whirlpool factory and tell them you are calling about a recall, they replaced my motherboard for free to keep me as a satisfied customer. Doesn't hurt to give it a try.

Hello, I have a 2008 ford 150 xlt 4x4 and there is a humming noise and leak from either rear end or yoke. When parking the truck on a hill facing down werd, it looks like it's leaking at the yoke. Is...

While there aren't any open recalls I'm aware of for that concern, it may very well fall under the powertrain warranty (5 years, 60,000 miles). The most common rear end noise concern we get is a chattering/noise from the rear end in turns caused by the breakdown of additives in the rear axle fluid causing the limited slip clutches to chatter. The cheapest, easiest fix for that concern is an $8 bottle of "friction modifier", available at the dealerships parts department, that you can add to the rear axle. It will work its way into the friction material, usually quieting the noise after 500 miles or so.

I have a 2004 F150. It has always had a slight ticking noise from the engine. This noise has just gotten louder and now there's a steady popping noise from the intake manifold and it's running rough. I'm...

The clicking noise could be the cam phasers, there was a TSB on repalcing them.

The popping noise from the intake, did you have the recall done ? This is recall 08S05 - Brake Booster vacuum hose replacement.

Burning lots of oil all of a sudden 500 miles/one quart - not good Has Jeep had a recall re: this engine ? 3.7/V6

Don't know of any recalls but first thing you want to do is look at the spark plugs and see which are black and fouled. that is the cylinder having a problem. Also make sure it isn't leaking anywhere. (check off, and running)
If you are still in warranty (if bought used with extended) bring it to the dealer.
Could be a broken ring or really bad valve guide or seal.

Right turn loud groaning

I would say you have bad wheel bearings on the front. More noise turning right means the left is REALLY bad.

Squeaking and/or grading noise on the right front of a corolla is always a good place to look and see if there was a recall issued on your car.

Not trying to be a wise guy Ed, but it is really hard to diagnose a noise from inside the car itrslef, much less when it's going downhill

What has me concerned Ed is that it only happens "from time too time", and it has two different noises.....a grinding is usually metal against metal...a squealing would make me think a rubber "something" was rubbing......but where?

My advise Ed is this........if you feel safe driving it, and you can put up with the "squealing/grinding"
noise....then don't fix what ain't broke. Otherwise, if it bothers you enough that you fear for your safety, or the safety of others, make an appointment right away at where you take the vehicle for being diagnosed and repaired.

I know it wasn't much help Ed, but thanks for giving us at a chance to work for you.

Possible faulty catalytic converter. The dealer will always be 2X as much as an outside shop. get a second opinion, but catalytic converters are expensive. (if that's the problem)

Dishwasher Non functioning

Disconnect power immediately! Several brands of dishwashers have had safety recalls over the past few years with bad switches or the rinse aid liquid leaking inside doors or inner insulation reacting with the wirering's insulation, in some cases causing fires. If you google dishwasher recall you will see GE, Maytag, Whirlpool/ Kenmore...... When you search or enter model numbers make sure you use complete model and serial numbers. If you leave off a letter or get one wrong the sites might tell you your model is not involved in the recall. I wish I was on my work computer now,... I'd include some photos of dishwashers which I serviced which did burn. Please leave a comment with your model and serial number.
