Question about Panasonic CQ-DF203U CD Player
It's strange, it started out of nowhere, but suddenly every button I push switches the player from CD mode to Radio, then back again. For example, I'm listening to the radio, I try to switch the station, so I press the #2 preset. Presto! It switches to CD mode. I'm listening to a CD and I decide to skip to the next track, so I press the next button. Holy ****! It switched back to Radio mode. It's driving me insane because I can literally only listen to one radio station and I can't ever switch tracks. Buttons that do work? Volume, Power, Eject. I have a feeling I may have pressed some button and messed something up, since I am new to this car stereo (just bought this car) but I've been playing with everything, trying to fix it, reading up on the manual, but I can't figure it out. Anyone got any ideas?
Reset the radio by pressing a sharp object (pin, pen, etc.) into the small reset hole on or behind the face. If it doesn't have one, disconnect the negative cable from the battery for two minutes and reconnect. If you still have this problem, the radio is bad.

Sorry, there's no way to repair the CD, if faulty. Try looking for a "reset" a VERY tiny hole somewhere behind the "door", on the face of the radio chassis...Using a paper clip end push into the tiny hole for a few seconds, ignition/radio on...If you can't find a reset...take it to a friendly local car stereo shop and ask them to diagnose the problem ($40).

SOURCE: Turns on but won't turn
It sounds to me like you may have a bad volume control switch. Unless you are good at unsoldering and soldering, I would suggest you have it repaired by a professional. Either that or see if you can find a replacement face at a pawnshop or something like that.

Your memory wire(12volt constant) and accessory (12volt switched) are in opposite positions. I have seen this happen with aftermarket wiring harnesses for european vehicles (mercedes, audi and VW). Switch the wires.
