Question about HP LaserJet 2840 All-In-One Printer
Ok go to add remove programs in control panel and then reomve only the printer drivers.
you will find one hp entry that says leaserjet 2400 or something like that remove this and then insert the printer installation cd exit out of the autorun screen.
click on start and click on my computer.
right click on your cd/dvd drive and select open then
go into a folder called "util"
then go into a folder called "ccc"
there would be a file called l1 uninstallation.
double click that.
what it does is it will remove your printer drivers that have any faults and then once you restart your computer then re insert the installation cd once again and run the autorun part of the cd and click on the option that says add a device and now check im sure this will resolve your issue.
now if you dont wanna do this try this click on start and open control panel
go into the printers and faxes folder
click on add a printer
Click on next
select local printer attached to this computer.
uncheck the box that woul say "automatically detect my plug and play printer"
click on next and in the drop down list select your usb or your wireless port.
click on next
under manufacturer select hp
under printers select deskjet 990c
click on next
enter a printer name and click on next click on next again click on next
the click on ok and click on finish now print from this printer icon that is just installed and you should not face anymore issues
