Try this place: www.camerasandparts.com If they don't have it, they'll get it if it's for a Canon Powershot. They have everything for these cameras as long as it's a Powershot. If you ever need to have one of these cameras serviced, they're fabulous for service work on these as well. They are about half the price of most places and they do fabulous work only for the Canon Powershots, they don't work on any other brands. If you don't see the part on that site, they should have an email address to email. I'm sure they'll be able to help you with it since you have a Powershot.

My G9 wont open the battery is charged

When my former wife arrived from a European trip, she was very upset because suddenly the Canon G9 I had lent her wouldn't open. It was right before Christmas too. I immediately went on line and found Cameras and Parts which was highly recommended by others. After having an unproductive conversation with Canon in which they claimed their was not a general problem with the G9, I contacted Cameras and Parts. I'm happy to report that the camera was fixed in no time and cost about half of what Canon wanted - plus it was refurbished and works great. So you might try Cameras and Parts.

Somebody was using my canon powershot g9 and when they gave it back to me the lens was out and it was dead. Ive tried everything from charging the batteries and everything nothing is working. Please help!

Camera likely has a common short that comes up on the G9 camera. You just need to get the camera serviced and you'll be back in business again. The site that specializes in service for the powershots is: camerasandparts.com They're amazing if you need help with one of these, that's all they deal with. The good thing with them is they do the correction so that common short never comes back again on the G9. Good luck, that's the place if you need help with a powershot model, they're excellent when it comes to service for these.
