I have a GR-85 and on my unit the oil separator is located inside the output air tank. It is accessed by removing the large circular cap bolted to the end of the tank.

WHY DOES A SM75 INGERSOLL RAND COMPRESSOR CUT OUT ON LOW PRESSURE OIL

Low oil pressure. Are you adding a lot of oil. Have you check the oil level. Switch could also be bad.

WILL T21 SELECT OIL WORK IN A MODEL 2475

The solution was easier than I expected. Ingersoll Rand "Select" oil is a synthetic oil recommended by Ingersoll as better than mineral oil. T30 (mdl 2475) and T21 are different styles of compressors. So, yes "select" oil can be used in the Model 2475 compressor.

Oil seperator

Get the model and serial number located to the right side of the fuel tank 1/2 way up on the radiator and call someone who deals in Ingersoll rand (now Doosan). If you remove the old one you can read the numbers off the bottom of it.

Hi,I got a Ingersoll Rand type 30 model 234 compressor. It looks good but it has no motor.I'm thinking like 120v,3horses?,but not sure about rpm.any help would be nice.thanks

According to the information you provided your looking at a 10 HP motor at three phase. Do you have three phase at your location? If not I would look into getting a single phase compressor. If you do want to get it going I would notify your local IR dealer so they can get you the right Model number, RPM, Pulley and Motor Frame Size to match your unit.

Please read below....Jim...if this helped you please send me a positive response...Thanks!

Ingersoll-Rand Air Compressor P185WJD why would the pop off valve on the air separator keep popping off

its because the compressor is not unloading { going above 120psi} you need to check the air signal going to the unloader valve located on top of the screw, it should start putting out air at about 90psi to close the unloader. another thing is if you are getting oil in the air coming out of the front ball valve the seperator element is bad thats the filter inside the tank the pop off valave is mounted. you can check the air signal by fethering ball valve to run the machine at 90 psi the diconnect small air line on unloade to check for air signal coming from regulater

I have a Ingersoll Rand P185 WJD air compressor and I need to know the type and quantity of oil to use.

Do not use 30 wt oil. It will wreak the oil/air seperator filter. Use Ingersoll Rand Pro-Tec fluid. It will hold approx 3 gallons.
