Question about Facebook Social Network
Will not go into games or facebook. left hand of page just has my name at top cannot do any thing.
Ok might need more info, OS system as in MAC or Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 ect... the Browser you use ie firefox, chrome, internet explorer, safari ect..
I ask cause it sounds like a certificate error, but not sure, the best way to tell is to use other websites in that browser and see how they act. alternatively try a different browser like the ones above. Also Facebook apps use Adobe Flash Player so download the latest version and install, this might help or even fix your issue, also just to mention sometimes the SVCHost.exe freezes your system by taking up all the available power from your processor which makes the browsers appear to not load properly or they take ages to load, to find if this is the case press CTRL-ALT-DEL and load Task Manager (or in run type taskmgr and press enter), if you have an option to view all processes from all users click on it, the click the CPU tab to line up the most used processes and stop the SVCHost.exe from running by ending the program, Only stop the one that's using over 90% of your power not the other ones.
Reply to this post with findings please, all the best Dave.

SOURCE: hi, if i load my
There's a few things you could try (if you have not done so already).
That's to :
1. Try using a differant Web Browser IE Firefox or Opera if your just running Internet Explorer.
Atleast then it's possible to eliminate quite a lot of possibilities if you can login to Facebook with another Browser.
2. Go into Control Panel >> Internet Settings >> then restore to default settings. Then try logging in again to facebook.
and actually if it's still not logging you in, you could use the search for files and folders and look for a file named "HOSTS". It should be located in C:/.
Then open up thie Hosts file with something like wordpad/notepad and look to see if you can see Facebook in that list. Quick way to search through the list of sites would be to click on the Edit option in the toolbar, the select "Find" type in Facebook, then hit search, and it should highlight it if it does appear in the list. If it does just delete the complete line, and close wordpad down and answer Yes when asked if you would like to save changes.
Hopefully something will get you backup and running from there, if not then let me know and will go throughsome software to use to remove stubborn malware/Trojan

It could likely be caused by IE8 as it was just released and will still have a
few bugs...we're just now rolling out IE7 at my job. Took us that long
to make sure all of the bugs were worked out and we found all possible
fixes to why it wouldn't work with some of the Web sites our employees
Did you have this problem before using IE8? If not, then you just solved your problem!
If you don't want to roll back to IE7 then download and install a different browser. Firefox is a really great option and I'm addicted to it. Google Chrome is great too. You should have at least one other browser installed anyway. That way, if one ever crashes (most likely one being Ineternet EXPLODER!) then at least you have a backup and can still access the Internet.
Either uninstall IE8 (which should automatically roll you back to IE7. Then go to facebook to log in and see if that fixed it.
Or, you can download Firefox (free) and install on your computer. Launch Firefox after installation completes and go to your facebook page. I can tell you know that you won't have the same problem unless something is wrong with your system.
Hope this fixes ya!
