Check both ends of your monitor cable to make sure it is plugged in firmly. Also, do you see a power light on the pc?

Can i connect my xbox 360 using Dvi D to Hdmi in the dvi slot and also my tower to the vga slot on my eMachines E19T6W

I am not an xbox person, but as far as hooking it up, it should work as long as the other device is NOT powered up. That being said you will still have to provide audio from the xbox another way as dvi only carries a video signal, unlike the hdmi which carries both audio and video.

When I turn on computer, the blue light comes on and the computer makes sounds as if it is starting and the monitor light is yellow. If I turn the monitor off and then back on, the screen says something...

No input usually indicates the machine is having trouble getting a video signal from the monitor. Check and make sure the monitor cable is connected properly. If you have another monitor also test the machine with another monitor.

Emachine 17" lcd monitor from Best Buy

1: Check the cable connections for the VGA or DVI cable at both ends for a secure connection.

2: There may be a button on the bezel of the monitor for input source to switch between VGA, DVI, or HDMI. While the monitor is on, press that one or more times waiting 2 or 3 seconds between presses to see of it finds the signal.

No input signal form a laptop to a projector

Hi jkoceng,

What type of interface cable are you using to connect to the projector? 15-pin VGA? S-video?

Generally on laptops if you look at the keyboard on the function keys (F1, F2, etc.) you'll see little icons such as adjustment of volume, brightness, etc. Look for one that looks like a monitor or screen. Usually this is on the F5 or F6 key. If the icon is blue, look for the corresponding key on the keyboard (Fn key, CTRL, Alt, etc.) and then hold that when connected to the projector while you press the appropriate function key. This should alleviate your problem.

Of course, you'll also want to be certain that you're using the correct input function on the projector.
