SOURCE: TV makes chirping sound and power button blinks, T.V. does not turn on

It is the lamp, you have to change the lamp, it's in the left side of the tv, have a litter compartiment, opened and take out two screw and take out the change and change it. you have to buy a new one. go to google.com and put the model of the tv and find the price of the lamp.

I have a Hitachi 57" projection TV Model 57F510.

You may well have either poor contact on the tube base of the colour that is missing or a poor contact in the tube itself. The latter is not repairable.

Neither - it's a CRT projection tv - the oldest form of projection, an obsolete technology .

Will not turn on

It seems that your unit has some sort of PSU fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur.
You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done. It is that sound that gives it away, this is a typical switchmode Power Supply problem.

Need codes for programing a hitachi tv

The codes are, 0145,1145,...Step 1. Turn the TV on. 2. Press the TV button. 3. Press and hold the SET button until the LED blinks twice, then release. 4. Enter one of the four digit codes, the LED will blink twice. 5. Aim the remote at the TV and press the POWER button, if your remote does not have a power button, press PLAY, the TV should turn off, if not, try steps 1-5 again using a different code....hope this was helpful...
