Question about Scotsman 15" Luxury Consumer Ice Machine
I have a scotsman DCE33 icemaker that continues to freeze up. I have adjusted the cube size to the smallest and the harvest to the longest, but it doesn't drop the ice. I suspect it could now be the hot gas valve, but I have no idea how to check it. Any help will be appreciated.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Could be in need of cleaning with some nickleguard ice machine cleaner. Or maybe a restriction in the pump? How about a scotsman repair manual?
I have both. Hope this one is it

With your ice maker not working properly, you might be wondering the reason behind the malfunctioning of your ice maker. Several factors could be involved in case your ice maker is not making any ice at all. It might be caused due to a defect in the water supply line. It could be possible that the water valve isn't getting any water. Check the water line at the back of the freezer for any blockage. Look for the water shut-off valve placed behind the refrigerator or under the sink and turn it off.
Next step would be to unscrew the copper line located at the back of the refrigerator. Now place the copper line in a bucket and turn on the valve to check if pressurized water comes out. The problem could also be linked to a defective tap valve.

There is usually a sensor that the cubes will touch after the cubes thickness builds to a certain point. This sensor should be adjustible.
