I have a Kenmore 587.1414 that is only 2 years old. I can hear it filling with water and then after a while it will drain, but does nothing in between. After the cycle has ran completely, I can open it and the dishers have never got wet and the soap door is open but the soap has just ran down the side of the door. What could be wrong? Motor gone out?

-   I have the same problem with my Kenmore Dishwasher. It fills with water and then does nothing for the duration of the cycle until it is time to drain out the water. The motors works as it is removing all of the water from the dishwasher. Just in between, it does nothing. Any ideas on what could be wrong??-   matawanm

I think you are right. That would be the most obvious answer. Some motors are warrantied for 2 years or longer.
