Installation of a2500lhc1d

Hold one half of the hasp up to the edge of the door and use the 3 holes as a template to mark where to drill. Drill the holes and attach the plate to the door with carriage bolts of an appropriate length for the thickness of the door. Attach the other half of the hasp with the lock to the mounted half. Close the door and mark where the holes should be drilled for the other half of the hasp. Open the door and drill the holes and attach it as above. You're done!

The bolt on deadbolt doesn't go all the way in

if it is new the lock could be installed wrong, most latches have a 60mm and 70mm option and when lock install wholes are not right, it trys to self adjust to half way between, measure from centre of big whole to edge of door, also take complete lock off and test with door open, turn lock with screw driver, hope this helps

How do you install an Ikea kitchen cabinet door hinge?

The new Ikea Sektion door hinges mount in 2 holes that are horizontal. The dimensions for the hole placement are 62 mm up from the outside bottom of the cabinet where the bottom edge of the door will be. The first hole is 20 mm in from the front edge and the second hole is 33 mm from the first hole or 53 mm from the front edge. The holes can be drilled with a 3/16" bit to a depth of 9/16". After the holes are drilled, the plastic plugs on the back of the hinge mounting plate are pushed into the holes with the orientation triangle "arrow" stamped on the front of the mounting plate pointing toward the cabinet opening. After the mounting plate is flush with the surface, the two wood screws are tightened in the plastic plugs to expand the plugs and secure the mounting plate. The door hinge mounted to the door is then clipped onto the mounting plate by first engaging the "hooks" near the door end of the hinge then snapping the back end of the hinge into the clip at the rear of the mounting plate. The location of the door once mounted can be adjusted by turning the three screws on the hinge. The front screw moves the door right and left when closed. The center screw (recessed in the hinge) moves the door up and down. The back screw moves the door closer or farther from the cabinet when closed. The hinges "snap" the door closed, so if the door is too close to the cabinet the hinges can't snap it closed and the door remains ajar. The trick is to adjust the inner screw to move the door farther from the cabinet until it snaps closed. The snap can be strong, and the little bumper plastic disks you can stick to the door to soften the bump work to some extent. The best solution is to install one soft-close Utrusta piston per door. The piston clicks onto the hinge and slowly closes the door the last bit without a bang.

I need to replace the ignition pickup on a 97 Sportster...it is behind the 5 logo

Yes, it is behind this plate in the timing cavity. Drill the rivet heads off so you can get the round plate off. Drill just deep enough to drill the head of the rivet off using a large drill bit. Once you get that and the other plate off, mark the original sensor plate and the inside of the timer cavity in such a manner that you can take the old sensor plate out and install the new plate in exactly the same spot. You must do this correctly or you'll have to reset the ignition timing. I usually use the very end of the slot on the plate or something like that for a reference point on the plate. Mark the inside of the timer cavity on edge. You'll also have to unpin the plug or cut the wires of the old sensor. Take the old pins out of the plug making a drawing of how the wires go into the plug, what color wire goes where. Put the wires through the hole and put the new plate in and secure the holding bolts. Repin the plug. If you put the original plate back on, you'll need new rivets. DO NOT USE STANDARD RIVETS. You must use Harley-Davidson rivets. Standard rivets will allow the broken off end to get into the timer cavity and damage the "cup" behind the plate and maybe the end of the camshaft.

Power window

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
R/V Series
  1. Raise the glass to the full up position and tape it to the door frame with fabric tape.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the door trim panel.
  4. Remove the window control bolts and lay the control aside for access.
  5. Remove the regulator-to-door panel attaching bolts.
  6. Disconnect the harness from the regulator.
  7. Slide the regulator assembly rearward, disengaging the rollers from the sash panel.
A notch is provided in the sash panel to allow disengagement of the forward roller on the window regulator.
  1. Remove the regulator assembly through the access hole in the door.

CAUTION The next step must be performed when the regulator is removed from the door. The regulator lift arms are under tension from the counterbalance spring and can cause serious injury if the motor is removed without locking the sector gear in position.
  1. Drill a hole through the regulator sector gear and back plate. DO NOT drill a hole closer than 1 / 2 in. (13mm) to the edge of the sector gear or back plate. Install a pan head sheet metal tapping screw (No. 10-12× 3 / 4 in.) in the drilled hole to lock the sector gear in position.
  2. Remove the motor-to-regulator attaching screws and remove the motor from the regulator.
To install:
  1. Prior to installation, lubricate the motor drive gear and regulator sector teeth.
  2. Install the motor to the regulator. Make sure the motor and sector gear teeth mesh properly before installing the retaining screws.
  3. Remove the screw locking the sector gear in the fixed position.
  4. Reposition the motor in the door and install the wiring connector.
  5. Attach the regulator to the door.
C/K Series
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Remove the door trim panel.
  3. Remove the water deflector by peeling it back.
  4. Disconnect the door lock rods at the module.
  5. Loosen the upper run channel bolt.
  6. Move the run channel away from the glass.
  7. Pull the wiring harness towards the door to reach the connector. Remove the boot from the wiring and disconnect the harness at the door hinge pillar.
  8. Remove the module and window assembly from the door frame by tilting it and lowering it from the door.
  9. Fold back the tab on the channel and slide the glass out.
  10. On trucks with power components, drill out the rivets from the inner handle housing.
  11. Drill out the regulator assembly rivets.
  12. Remove the regulator/motor assembly.

CAUTION The next step must be performed when the regulator is removed from the door. The regulator lift arms are under tension from the counterbalance spring and can cause serious injury if the motor is removed without locking the sector gear in position.
  1. Install a pan head sheet metal tapping screw through the sector gear and backing plate in the hole provided, to lock the sector gear in position.
  2. Drill out the motor-to-regulator attaching rivets and remove the motor from the regulator.

To install:
  1. Prior to installation, lubricate the motor drive gear and regulator sector teeth.
  2. Install the motor to the regulator. Make sure the motor and sector gear teeth mesh properly before installing the replacement attaching bolts and nuts.
  3. Remove the screw locking the sector gear in the fixed position.
  4. Reposition the motor/regulator in the door and install the wiring connector.
  5. Attach the regulator to the door.
  6. Slide the glass out into the channel and fold over the tab.
  7. Fit the glass into the rear channel in the door, then, while pulling the channel towards the glass, fit the glass into the front run channel.
  8. Install the boot from the wiring and connect the harness at the door hinge pillar.
  9. Install the lower run channel bolt.
  10. Install the door lock rods at the module.
  11. Install the module panel screws, starting at the top left, then the top right.
  12. Install the water deflector.
  13. Tighten the upper run channel bolt.
  14. Install the trim panel on the door.

Kwikset powerbolt 1000 keyless entry deadbolt lock with keypad

Make sure that the bolt hole on the jamb side is recessed enough so the bolt gets a full extension. Without this externsion the bolt will not engage the key release. So when you do your quarter turn you are actually turning more. Remove the strike plate and drill the hole deeper until the bolt can extend all the way. Also double check your key to make sure it is not spurred or worn.
