Sounds like you have the cords into the back of the phone mixed up. If you have a cord with 1 and 2 plugged into 1/2, great. But then if you have another jack also with 1 and 2, but plug it into 3/4, now you answer line 3 on second phone and line 1 lights up on first phone. Or line rings line 1 here and line 3 over ther. Gotta keep that straight and the jacks have to have identical lines.

SOURCE: change the ring tone of Panasonic KX-T7730

I think it can be done. Just exchange the phone for a 7633 and change out the TA for a TDA-50.

Piece of cake.

SOURCE: can not get kx-t7885 to get a dial tone

How are you trying to get an outside line? By dialing 9? If the host system happens to be a TA series, you have to tell it how many lines you have, or that you don't have lines that have hardware ports but no dial tone, since systems select outside lines from the top down.

From System programming, program 400 defines connected lines.

I need to know how to pick up another extension I have Panasonic KX-7730 corded phone.

If it's wired to a TA series cabinet, you can do it in 2 ways. On the intercom 40 picks up the ringing phone(s) in your group, and 41xx picks up the specific ringing phone. In a small office, 40 usually works fine.

Hi: I have a Panasonic KX-T7420 phone. When one of the incoming lines is ringing and I pick up the handset, it picks up the intercom and not the incoming line. Is there a way to get the thing to answer...

There are 2 things that would prevent you from being able to answer a ringing phone by picking up the handset. Your phone has to be ringing, and you need to set preferred line ringing on incoming calls.

The second part is easy. Press PROGRAM 99 and dial 22 STORE on your phone. Now when a call rings on your phone you can pick it up. If you can't, then your phone is not ringing.

Ringing is set in system programming.

How do you plug in the phone and make sure all four lines work?

The easiest way is to make 4 outgoing calls and placing the calls on hold. You should have 2 cords with 2 lines on each one. If you look at the bottom of the plastic connector that goes in the phone. It must have a minium of 4 copper pins. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem once, turned off the base unit from power cord and the phone line and all connected handset units, then turned it back on & it worked.

Phone calls come in on line 2 rather than line 1 and, therefore, the calls will not roll over. Can I reassign the lines the call comes in on? The phone company swears nothing is wrong with the wiring.

do you have two seperate lines to the house, both going to the same box? If so, locate your phone box(usually a small plastic box on the outside of the home) open it up, then openthe second panel inside the box. you should see two sets of wires coming in. on newer boxes they have phone jacks inside with short plugs to them. reverse these and that should change your lines. these are the output jacks. if you have seperate boxes for each line you'll have to change the input lines to the other boxes. if they are close together and you have enough slack it's not hard. if they are far apart, then it gets in to running wire to them. take a look and see if it is the easy way. hope this helps
