Trying to figure out which direction to turn the knob inside the coffee bean grinder to make my coffee weaker. Others have told me that the finer the grinds, the stronger the coffee. And the courser the...

You can run more water through the same grind you are using now or you can trun the big knob in the bean hopper to a larger #. That will make the grind coarser. You can turn the knob to a larger # anytime but to turn it to a smaller # it has to be grinding or you will damage the grinder. If you have 2 knobs in the bean hopper, you can turn the small knob down towards the -(minus) and reduce the amount of coffee in the brew unit.

I just received a used Saeco Vienna SuperAutomatica and I can not get coffee to brew. Drive grounds are shot into discard bin

You must have 2 knobs in the bean hopper, or the grinds are more like French Press (very large grinds) If yoou just have 2 knobs turn the small one towards the minus (-) a little, and see idf that helps. If you hqve very large grinds you grinder has seperated and needs to be replaced.

Sounds like the grind is too fine. If its (the big knob) below 8 in the bean hopper, turn it to 16. You can turn the knob to a larger # anytime but you have to be grinding to turn to a smaller #. Make 3 coffee but push the button when it starts to brew to stop the brewing until you get to the third coffee and just let this one brew. If it brew correctly then turn the knob down to a # a couple higher than you had before.

Won't brew

water puddling underneath machine indicates a broken boiler.

Machine needs to be sent in to have the boiler replaced.

Do not continue to use the machine because the seal on the boiler which is broke can end up splashing the electronic board and rendering your machine a paper weight.

No can not. You have to waste the beans to run descaler through the Brew Group.
