Question about LG LD301EL Dehumidifier

Open Question

CH 01 & CH 67 Errors

I have a two-year old LG LD301EL 30-pint dehumidifier, and it was flashing CH 01. I followed advice I found on this forum, and replaced the sensor assembly, and it now flashes CH 67. Any advice as to what could be causing this? Is this just an electrical short? Seems like I am chasing my tail. Thanks!

SOURCE: ch 01

Change the sensor assembly and all will be fine, about $30 from Appliance Factory Parts on line store, about an hour to do, all that is needed is Phillips screw driver to take unit apart.

SOURCE: My LG dehumidifier tries to

Here is a manual for your machine, in case you don't have one:
http://homeappliance.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/lg/lg_dehumidifier.html
You have to join and log in to the following site, but they claim to have 2 answers:
http://www.maybenow.com/LHD65EBL-Code-CH-01-q23864244
Here's what one person said about the code on webogdery.com:

Unit keeps saying bucket full with nothing in it and it will have a CH 01 code come up on the display. NO reference to it in manual. Call customer NO service and they say to take it to a repair shop 1 1/2 hour drive away. I would not recomend this unit to anyone unless you like to keep buying new ones every year or so.
Not good news, but someone said the unit has a 5 year warranty, so you might check into that.
Another person said check the sensors:
--Shoddy craftsmanship:
1. The sensor that stops the unit when the water reservoir is removed is flimsy, often it does not detect that the reservoir is inserted back, one has to fiddle with the reservoir till the sensor finally "catches on", but then every now and then the mechanism will lock and will be unable to detect that the reservoir is full, resulting in a water spill.

It doesn't seem like anyone has figured out this code, but it has to be a sensor, or bad part, if you can just figure it out.
Good luck, hope some of this helps, and thanks for using FixYa.

SOURCE: Code on the dehumidifier flashes the code "CH

That is the error for a bad sensor assembly. This is about $30 from a few sources.
As an example (I have no idea how close this may be to you)

http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/search/partinfo.php?partsid=282871

It requires a bit of work to replace. Most of that just getting everything apart. Maybe an hour or two if you do it. If you aren't handy with a screwdriver any shop can do this as well.

I have a code on the screen CH 01... What do i need to do to get it to run again???

CH 01 Indicates that water collection tank is full and needs to be removed & emptied. Turn the unit OFF and unplug it, before removing the bucket.

Have a year old lg dehumidifier and a code of 01 appears in the window and will not start.

The error Code 01 indicates that either the air intake filter is dirty and needs to be removed and cleaned and/or the water collection bucket is not installed properly. Turn the unit OFF & unplug it, before attempting any service work.

Hope this helped you & thanks for choosing FixYa.

Has ch 01 light on

I'm having the same problem. I spoke with LG today and this error code means the unit is not calculating the correct humidity percentage. I told him that I don't really care what percentage it calcs, I just want it to collect water. He told me there was no way to override this and that it will need service to operate.

Error code on Digital LG Dehumidifier - CH 1

Change the sensor assembly, Part # 6877A30013M from Appliance Factory Parts in Englewood CO, about $30. Easy to change, plugs into control board, remove old temperature probe by pry T-well open with small screwdriver and then crimping back closed when new sensor is installed, about an hour start to finish, hardest part is getting all the covers off. Mine is back to working like new again!!

LHD45EL Dehumidifier won't run

This will need to be serviced. LG has a 5 year warranty on these models. They usually will tell you of a service center nearby which will service it free of charge since it is under warranty. If you do not live near a service center they may ship you a replacement and you send your old dehumidifier back to them. Make sure you have your reciept when you contact them so they can verify it is 1 year old.
