White fr 500 will not take up bobbin thread

It usually happens when the needle is bent or threaded incorrectly. If ok then the hook must be missing the thread loop, check timing.

The thread is birdnestting where the bobbin is

Birdnesting can be corrected by adjusting the bobbin tension lower. You need to check for threads stuck in the bobbin tension and clean them out. The thread should feed out of the bobbin tension with a small amount of tension. Make sure your bobbin is rotating the right direction; probably counter clockwise. Adjust the top to three and give it a try. You may need to make a small adjustment on the top tension. Your goal is to have the bottom and top tension equal just like a tug of war.

My bobbing thread keeps jamming

Make sure you are putting the bobbin in right side up. Some times it will do this if your needle size is incorrect to the fabric weight.

The upper thread is too loose and the bobbin thread is taken up too much

It is the upper thread which pulls the bobbin thread up. If the bobbin thread is taken up to much, one solution is to loosen the upper thread -- but the upper thread is too loose. Therefore, the same problem needs to be combated from the bobbin side.
The thread from the bobbin should slide through a wedge. On that wedge should be a screw. It needs tightened. The bobbin thread should be tight as follows:
A fully loaded bobbin should tangle by the thread without falling. While dangling the bobbin by the thread, bounce the bobbin (yo-yo style). An easy tug should cause the bobbin to release an inch or two of thread and then the bobbin should stop falling on its own.
Once the bobbin tensioner is correct, you should be able to tighten the upper tensioner.

Thread is gathering under cloth

Check that the thread is tight around the bobbin. Make sure that the bobbin is in the right way around - the bobbin thread should double back on itself coming out of the bobbin holder. The bobbin tension adjustment is the small screw in the plate on the bobbin case that the thread passes under as it comes off the bobbin and goes out.

if im not mistaken, the bobbin when you place it in the bottom, you have to thread it is as well to the part where the needle comes down and collects and goes back up. please re-look at instructions for placement of bobbin

Have a CG 500......the stitches pucker.. I have adjusted .the tension..but the only way to prevent this is to put the tension on 0............then this does not make good stitch.HELP

Try rethreading the top thread thru the tensioner. Make sure the presser foot is in the up position during threading, and as you go thru the tensioner you may need to pull the thread back and forth lightly to help it settle in the tension discs.

Also check the type of bobbin being used. Drop in bobbin machines need bobbins with rounded sides (class 66).

We have a Thompson PW-301. I find the instruction manual very had to understand in some instances. I finally got it threaded, but the tension part I had trouble with. Once I figured that out, now it seems...

Hello,
Here's some things for you to try.

* Re-thread your machine, it may be threaded incorrectly.

* Raise your feed dogs if your machine has this feature.

* When you start to sew a seam, hold on to the upper and bobbin thread tails. Hold them back and out of the way as you sew your first couple of stitches. This will keep them from getting hung up in your machine.

I hope this help you.

Excess bobbin thread under the fabric

I know you hate to hear this but you are probably threading it incorrectly. Make sure that the presser foot is in the up position when you thread the machine. This ensures that the tension discs are open and the thread makes it in between the disc.
