I had upgrded it to windoes 7 a few days back but in the starting it did not show this problem??
SOURCE: Internet Explorer randomly closing
Assuming this is vista who knows what the problem is I would notify hp as this unit is certainly in warrenty and it may have issues that need resolving at a higher level liek a new motherboard etc. I think a restore from your disks woul dbe a good place to start then see if it happens after the auto updates are installed.
hope this helps

sounds like you have a bug in your browser. run anti virus in safe mode pc doctor works well for free scans

do you have other internet browser installed ? try using it see if you can get webpage displayed
SOURCE: Connected to Internet but Explorer doesn't open
in the system tray on the bottom right hand side of your screen is there a computer picture there with a cross on it? This will show that your computer is not connected. If it is then right click on the icon and click on connect to network. Look for your wireless network and click on it. Click on connect and it will ask you for the password or wap key which will be the password for your wireless router when you set up the wireless connection. Put this password in and this should bring about a connection for you.

do you have main menu, if so, go to view - toolbars and then select or click standard. If not try to reinstall or repair the win xp.
