Most likely secured with plastic snaps as well. PLEASE research though B-4 tugging with too much force as you could break the case. I often find additional screws hidden under labels and/or rubber/plastic feet on bottom. Good luck.

How do I replace starter on 2002 sportster

First disconnect the battery cable. Then you'll have to pull the primary cover off the engine. Find the primary case drain plug underneath the rear of the primary case and remove it to drain the oil. Find the primary chain tensioner underneath the primary cover near the center and loosen the locknut. Turn the screw downwards to loosen the tension on the primary chain. Remove the left foot peg and take the "derby cover" off of the primary cover. Remove the spring and lock nut underneath the derby cover. Remove the bolts around the primary cover. As you gently pull the primary cover away from the engine, turn the clutch adjuster screw under the derby cover in a clockwise direction until the primary cover comes off. Remove the battery cable where it bolts onto the starter motor and the small single wire that plugs to the motor. Just above the clutch assembly there are two bolts. Remove these bolts and the starter will come off the engine. The bolts are different lengths. Make sure you mark which bolt goes where.

Good Luck
Steve

Hi, I have own a pair of peavey impulse 1012 speakers. One of them has developed a fault in that the output is terribly owful at low volume compared to the other one but an increase in the output from the...

"terribly owful " is not a descripption we can really understand. You need to describe whether the probllem is with the bass or treble speaker... lows/highs... The only suggestion we can give is to open the unit. You will need a LONG phillips screwdriver and remove all the screws in wells around the edges from the back and then gently separate the shell. Inspect for loose wiring. You don
t mention if you are using this as bi-amped or not which we need to know. This unit has the soundguard protection of the tweeter which consists of an automotive type lamp and a polyfuse. I would open the unit and see if there is a problem with the connections or possiblly a socket problem with the lamp as that would disturb the tweeter level. If you are bi-ampong this, then verify that swapping the speakers the problem is the speaker and NOT the cable or amp... Also verify the switch on the back of the speaker is properly set.

I have a Peavey Valveking 112 . The standby switch is broken and I want to remove the amp to get at the switch. I've removed the 4 bolts from the top of the amp and the 2 screws at the back but it is still...

SOMETIMES the screws holding the handle go down into the amp. Sometimes there are screws from the sides also.

The LAST problem is the Tolex covering often bonds and interferes with removing AND installing the chassis...

It is best to NOT put too much force till you can tell it is free... they still can be nasty to slide out...

My toshiba equium just wont except the main password, cant reboot..cant get into bios

At this time you need to cleat the BIOS password first so that you can get into BIOS. To cleat the BIOS password you need to open your laptop you just remove the battery first. Remove the screw and open the back cover. Locate the CMOS battery, all password are stored in CMOS memory.

Remove the CMOS battery to clear the stored BIOS password, Or you can remove also the CMOS jamper near the CMOS battery and turn on the unit with in 10 second and turn off. Reinsert the jamper. Now the BIOS password are already clear you can get now in BIOS to change some settings. Good luck

How to repalce the battery

This is simple to do once you find the battery. Remove the rear seat (pull up on the front of it to release) to expose the battery. Then remove the Negative terminal followed by the Positive terminal. Finally remove battery hold down bolt to free the battery. ALWAYS wears eye protection when working on/near/with the battery.

Note- The seat belt configuration in the seat before removing... don't forget the seat belts when installing.

Use battery terminal protector on the terminals. Thoroughly inspect the terminals for signs of corrosion. Replace as necessary.

Peavey KB 300 amp problems

Hi there.

You have have been unfortunate enough to experience an uncommon failure. The bass driver has failed. It is a Black Widow that can have the basket/cone/voice coil assembly replaced as a complete unit. The magnet unbolts from the basket and you bolt on a new one. Classic field service designed product. You will be able to get a new basket from a Peavey equipment stockist. Just ask for a 15' Black Widow replacement basket They cost about $180 here in Australia and you can easily change it yourself. Good Luck and happy jamming.

A FixYa rating would be great for my tech tip to you. Cheers

regards
Graeme
