We had a 1980's wall type oven that would not control the heat any longer. It had an electronic digital control board , the clock worked fine. To replace the oven new was like $700. We had a Sears repair guy come and he said to use the internet to find a replacement control board. After extensive research using the numbers on the board itself I found a company in Canada that does repairs, (there were a couple of companies offering this service, I can't remember why I picked the Canadian company) they explained that using a new replacement may just give you another board with the same weakness built in. This made sense to me so I took a chance and mailed them the board (shipping to Canada was a bit high) got it back in a couple of weeks, took 5 minutes to re-install and its working great. The repair was just under $140 plus shipping.

Hello. I have an HEV 434350 (in Barcelona). It's suddenly stopped heating. The fan works, the display works. The child safety device seems not to work (I press it for far longer than 4 seconds, and nothing...

Sounds like a faulty oven element, if the fan is wrking o/k, then I suggest you fit a new oven element, usually located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.

The oven has a digital mode for the temperature and timer. However, it shuts down by itself on temps higher than 350º in 30-50 minutes. If it is on a higher temp, like 400-450º, it will shut...

The ribbin connection terminal betweenth control board and the display is losing electrical connection with heat. Try pushing the ribboin connectors deeper into the recepticles on both the display and the conrol board.

It may just be that the ribbon electrical strip itself is failing at temp and separating. You should be able to go to a serious elctronics supply store / maybe even radio shack and get a ribbon strip that you can cut to length and install. Ask for assistance as you also may need to make adapters on both ends of the ribbon to go from ribbon recepticles to PCB recepticles. MUCH cheaper than P2500 / $200 US for sure.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Good evening i have a BT2431SS baumatic cooker,i have no heat in main oven yet i have the hob and the grill that work ok.

If it is a fan assisted electric oven, and the fan is wrking o/k, then it will probably be a faulty oven element.
This is located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

once you take of the back of the oven there are some wires going from the cooker to the back cover on one of the wires you will see a microtemp thermal fuse protector this connects the two wires (the white wire) this needs replacing you can get them from tdspares.co.uk we will be getting 121c degree. Hopes this helps

F3 code and beeping

F3 - F4 Open oven temperature sensor (circuit) (over 2700 ohms) or, shorted oven temperature sensor. Could be a result of:
· contamination on terminals
· pinched wire in oven temperature sensor circuit
· cold solder joint on control. · Disconnect power to range and remove oven temperature sensor connector from control.
· Measure oven temperature sensor resistance at oven temperature sensor connector (take care not to damage terminals in block) - Should read 1100 ohms at room temperature (approx 72 degrees F).
· Measure each oven temperature sensor lead from connector block to ground. If shorted, look for pinched or cut wire in oven temperature sensor circuit.
· Check connector terminals - Look for deformed or corrosion on terminals. Repair or replace.
If all above is ok replace control.
